Pre: DIY oil
Rockwell 6S@R4 w/Polsilver
Yaqi synthetic
Pb soap tester - The Green Mac
Anherb balm

The weather is getting warm and very dry so my skin was struggling no matter what I used.

I added in pre shave oil today and it helped immensely!!
Just 3 drops rubbed in 5 minutes prior made all the difference.

The oil is a mix of grapeseed, abyssinian, jojoba and lemon Myrtle EO.

The pb soap base is just too easy to work with. I enjoy it a lot!!

You may recall that I had to do the same last year when on a mine site. Far from ideal, but got just enough slickness from the Cella to survive.

I thought it was familiar!

Just roll up a wet face cloth and use the end as a face lathering brush. Use a limp wrist while painting it across your face. It works quite well.

Good thinking 99!

I initially thought of not shaving - that lasted a nano-second.

It really was probably SAS if not better - just a little patchy on the second pass

Prep: Hot shower
Brush: The Stray Whisker Silvertip Badger
Soap: DR Harris Arlington
Razor: Rockwell 6C (R6)
Blade: Gillette 7 o'clock Black (1 and done)
Post: The Stray Whisker Alum block, Thayers Wit h Hazel with Aloe Vera

Appalling first shave with the Gillette 7 o'clock Super Platinum/Black blade. Must have been a dull dud - was tugging and struggling from the outset. Should have binned it after a few strokes but persevered and got through somehow - shouldn't have bothered in hindsight. Had a strong five o'clock shadow by lunchtime. 😡

I'm allergic to heavy menthol soaps so I would never have purchased this soap for myself but this is another one that got returned to me from my friend, from a soap lot I purchased from the BST to PIF to him.

Since I had it I thought I'd give it a go, and boy is it awesome!! The menthol is definitely there but no allergic reaction and no watery eyes, it's just perfect! Just a tad stronger than mystic water lemongrass/eucalyptus.

It doesn't smell like menthol, it smells like wintergreen, which is wonderful as I love the smell of wintergreen!!

Summer is coming where I am so this will definitely get good use!!

Prep: Valobra Glycerlanolina soap, Myrsol Emulsion
Brush: Tony Forsyth P&C LE 2017 Platypus High Mountain White Badger
Soap: Calani Oriental Plum
Razor: Wilkinson Sword Sticky
Blade: NOS London Bridge (2)
Post: Thursday Plantation Tea Tree & Witch Hazel, CRSW Alcohol-Free American Barbershop Moisturising Aftershave
Scent: Penhaligon's Castile

First use of the Calani Oriental Plum soap. A beautiful scent - sweet fruit balanced with spicy tobacco. I now understand why this scent is revered by many shavers.
The lather was also excellent - easy to build, persistent, and lovely cushioning and glide.
Three passes for a DFS+, and I'm grinning :D.
