I too love the sandalwood Haslinger sample that I got from the P&C meetup box
Prep: Hot shower
Brush: The Stray Whisker Silvertip Badger
Soap: Haslinger Honig
Razor: Rockwell 6C (R6)
Blade: Vintage NOS Gillette Spoiler (5)
Post: The Stray Whisker Alum block, Aramis
Loving the Haslinger Honey sample from the P&C meetup box. Very easy to build a delightful slick lather; yet another great soap to add to the wish list.
My sentiments exactly! Even though I haven't tried a synthetic shaving brush yet....... I'm happy to keep the synthetics for my paint brushes.22 years of wet shaving with a badger brush and this was my first ever experience with a synthetic. In short, I didn't like it at all. It got the job done, and is already dry, which will be great for when I'm travelling. But, apart from those two redeeming factors I will not be in a rush to use it again any time soon. Who knows, had I been shaving with synthetics for 22 years, then I probably wouldn't like badger hair. I get that there are different levels of synthetics, but I just like the feel and result of the brushes that I have already that I will not be in any hurry to try any of those soon. YMMV.
