All 3 versions of the SS Lupo are now in stock. I ordered all 3 heads + 2 caps and 2 handles. Order should arrive soon.
Was that yesterday? Checked tonight and only base plate left

Pre-shave: Hot Shower
Brush: Yaqi - Mysterious Space 24mm silvertip
Soap/Cream: A&E - Warrior of the Howling Fjord (K2)
Razor: Blackland - Tradere SB
Blade: Gillette Minora (3)
Post-shave A&E - Warrior of the Howling Fjord AS splash / Nivia Men - Deep moisturiser.

2 pass WTG + touchups = DFS +. I think I know which blade in the Gillette lineup this Minora is. To me it feels and shaves exactly the same as a Gillette Platinum ( new ones in the dark blue boxes and white writing). I tested on my last non recorded SOTD, and it feels and shaves identical. Reasonably sharp and reasonably smooth. The Minora blade so far is a good shaver in the Tradere.

The soap A&E - Warrior of the Howling Fjord. Scent strength medium for the puck, and light to medium for the splash. Interesting name for a dupe of Creed's Silver Mountain Water. Scent notes, musk, bergamot, mandarin, neroli, sandlewood, blackcurrent. The scent is a woody oriental that is very fresh thanks to the citrus notes. Although I think the scent is masculine, I know my other half really l Ikes Creed SMW for herself. ( Wish they would like cheap scents like Brut or Old Spice):)

First time with the Henson and first time with Wholly Kaw's Siero base.

Even for the "medium" this razor is super mild. Very little to no blade feel. And the shape of the head forces you to shave at the angle IT wants and not allow you to find the sweet spot yourself. 3 passes with a lot of buffing to get to DFS+ (some rough patches still, so not BBS). While the minimal blade exposure protects you from cuts, it doesn't protect you from irritation, and I got razor burn for the first time in a long time. I shaved with the recommended Astra SP, but may switch over to something sharper, like a Feather to see if that will improve the shave like it did for the Merkur 34C.

Onto the Wholly Kaw. That Siero base is everything everyone has described and more. It's arguably the best base I have used to date. It's like Milksteak, only better. Super slick lather with minimal water (although I read that adding more water won't break the lather easily), glide, cushion, and post shave is on par with any of the elite bases. I'd like to buy more, but as good as I think it is, I don't think it is 33% better than B&M Excelsior, which can be had for cheaper. Also, none of WK's Siero base scented soaps really appeal to me. Even Vor V, which comes off to me as raspberry patchouli, wasn't unpleasant to use, but I'm not swooning over it and neither is my GF. Iced Tea will be interesting since the scent was a collab with Mammoth Soaps (now House of Mammoth).

...brings to mind that old quote "that's no lady, that's my wife!"

A lady wearing Brut might be just a little unsettling - unless she's a Russian Olympic weightlifter...

A great way to finish the working week with some neglected gear. Glad I kept the 34C as it always delivers a milder but comfortable shave. Plenty of cooling menthol goodness from the soap/splash and the 2 band packs plenty of punch!
Stay Safe & Happy Shaves!

I had all of 2020 to stock up on all the gear I wanted and I always have other interests to invest in making my decision that much easier.
Plus I managed a Sabbatical in 2019 so no reason why I can't achieve it again this year! :p

im with ya mate, got so much stuff time to get into it. The only dilemma you may have is the WR2.. it’s a killer razor :)

I was leaning more toward a WR1 but unsure what gap and found the WR2 .95 & 1.05 on the milder side.
I'm happy to postpone things as loving my Rocca's too much! :)
