I would be devastated to see my Rocca get damaged which is why I made sure to buy spares :) Not happy as I love the Apollo and am spewing I wasn't careful!

Closer inspection shows the top cap thread has actually come unscrewed up top so not an actual break.
I've received a reply from Smart Helix seeking photos and hopefully they can advise what I need to do to get a replacement as the post hasn't snapped but unthreaded from cap making me believe a weld has come loose...?

Looking at your pictures, I can't see anything actually broken. Is the screw thread in the cap still intact? If so, you should be able to just screw the post back in. Use a few layers of paper or some leather to protect the post while you hold it with pliers or mole-grips.

If that works, you can help lock this tread in place by coating the thread with a small amount of loc-tite.

I think you're in luck. A machine shop should be able to fix you up without too much difficulty.
Cheers for the suggestion as the thread still screws in once I tighten the pieces together, only coming undone from the top cap end.

Yeah it appears tht the thread screws into an insert in the base of the top cap so my guess is whatever was holding it together gave way once the razor hit the floor.
Kinda lucky it was screwed together as thehandle/plate kept it secure??? I'll wait to see what Smart Helix advise and all else failing follow your advice as the cap seems to still function once I return the thread into the hole. (y)

I'm guessing the impact with the floor just spun the thread loose. If you can't get a good grip with pliers or mole-grips, pick up a pack of M5 nuts from Bunnings, along with a little bottle of Loctite

and use two of them on the longer thread as locknuts to give yourself some purchase with a little spanner. Careful not to strip the thread.

Edit: M5 is the most common size, but if those nuts thread on, but feel really loose, it could be a 10/32" thread, and you might need to go to an actual nuts/bolts shop to find those.

Thanks again for the helpful suggestion. The awesome team at Smart Helix have informed me that the post thread has indeed unscrewed from cap and requires a special tool to reattach so they will machine me a replacement cap+ plate and advise when its been shipped.
I'm blown away by the customer service and was willing to pay for my clumsiness but then again you pay top $$$ and they stand by their Life Time Warranty! I can't recommend them enough for a top product and amazing service. :)

Brush: Alpha Shaving Brushes T-400 24/52mm Frank Shaving G4
Razor: Rocca V4 R96
Blade: Wizamet SI (7)
Pre: Shower
Soap: Declaration Grooming Trisegistus
Post: Alum // Nivea 2 Phase A/S Lotion + Sensitive
WTG, ATG, Touchups = DFS

First lather with the G4 knot and the fibers feel similar to a Tuxedo but much more density that I might need to reset the loft at 55mm to give it more splay? Todays shave wasn't the smoothest as the blade felt rough leaving me with mild redness on the neck!? Main thing is I didn't damage anything so can't really complain...
Stay Safe & Happy Shaves!

You and me both mate! I was prepared to follow @Gargravarr and try patching it up myself but they're sending a replacement to be safe.
My bloody goodness a lifetime warranty outside of the Australian Territory is a miracle... HOLY UNTOUGH TITTIES!! I’m still completely gobsmacking :wideyed::jawdrop: I also shit my pants this morning.

By the time you reach until August this year, you’re wife will be completely forgotten about your 12 months restriction 2021 sabbatical. Then you’ll be buying more razors, brushes and soaps again, you’ll say to your wife tough titties dear, because, you’ve completely forgotten about the sabbatical agreement. Sorry honey we need to reschedule our 12 months sabbatical agreement again for 2022.
