Pre: Hot Shower, Proraso Green
Brush: Yaqi Rose 28mm synthetic
Soap: Squadron "The Warden"
Razor: Lupo 72
Blade: Nacet (1)
Post: Alum, T.N. Dickinson Witch Hazel Astringent mixed into the 240ml bottle with Invite E High Potency Pure Oil (10 drops), Natural Plant Glycerin (20) & Lime oil (10)
Thanks for the advice @StratMan, I went with the Nacet and was suitably impressed. I did get a bit seduced by the smoothness of the whole exercise and cleaned up my neck area a bit too much and ended up with a little irritation. It cleared up pretty quickly though, so no major issue. Definitely operator error on that one. I had one little patch that was a bit rough after I'd finished shaving, somehow I missed going ATG there. Too focussed on the new razor!
The brush is fairly new and I realised that I'd forgotten to post in the acquisitions thread. I'm one of those blokes who figures "If a 24 mm brush is good, a 28mm one must be much better". In some cases that may be true, but I must say it's a bit large for my face. I'm planning on getting back into shaving my head, so it may work well for the noggin.
Overall it was a really good shave. The 72 is easy to manoeuvre and great for under the nose, the best of the few razors I own.
