I thought it would be a fitting belated farewell to Dan, using one of his soaps coupled with an after shave made by the only other artisan I consider his equal, talent wise. This soap introduced me to APR, and if I had to spend my life using only one scent, I would have an awful hard time choosing between Fresca Intensa and Catie's Bubbles' Black Bergamot.

Rest in peace, Dan Bashford.

It was sad to learn about Dan's passing. I didn't know him personally, and just had minimal interactions online.

I have tried a few soap samples thanks to @tim33z, and they were great. The only APR product I have myself is this Carnivale splash. Its a nice cold weather scent, I really liked the combination with Vespers. I think its going to be a great match with Smoking Bishop, too.

Fortunately I still have some APR software in the Den and hardware previously owned by the man himself. BSB and Timeless were probably the biggest enablers in my wet shaving journey. They opened my eyes to the fact there are better quality items and not all hardware shaves the same. A real turning point and the start of many AD.
