Pre-shave: Water splashes.
Brush: Troycraft - Honey Pearl (2 Band Badger)
Soap: Wilkinson Sword Shave Stick
Razor: Rockwell 6C (#4)
Blade: Gillette 7 O'clock Green
Post-shave: Stirling Iced Pineapple Balm

Been quite a while since I have posted, but my DE shaving is a passion I have still been enjoying daily. Over the last year I have grown much better acquainted with my razor and have sort of landed on the Rockwell 6C being my daily driver on plate 4. I rarely change it up so my pearl flexi hasn't seen much use. I just prefer the way the polished finish glides on my skin.
I still have a bunch of blades that I have yet to try but so far my favourite blades to use have been the Nacet and Silver Blue. Would be super keen to hear what people prefer with their 6C or 6S though and I can't wait to get through my remaining blades to try out a Minora which was all the rage when I was a bit more active.

Really enjoying the Wilkinson Sword soap lately for a quick shave, seems to glide really well when properly hydrated. In an update for @Gargravarr, I saw almost a year ago you mentioned your CF Lavender was approaching its last days and I'd like to let you know that both my Rawr and Two Kings are getting very low and I have found myself savouring them for the right moments in an attempt to not run out hahaha. I'm still very happy with the trade so thank you.

@TroyTools what can I say...I absolutely loved this brush when you initially showed it to me as a project and I still love it now. Looking through your shaving brush thread I can see you're creating some really fantastic designs so keep up the amazing work :)

Shave Result: I used about 3g scoop of Pedro Fiasco’s cream to produced a rich creamy dense lather. The lather has top primary and residual slickness and after shave felt moisturising. To me the scent is an old style aroma (1960/1970) that is woody, spicy and powdery, reminds me bit of Aramis, lather scent strength 5/10. Lovely smooth mild shave from the Parker 78R+Sunny blade combo.

The Gear:
  • Pre Shave: Suavecito Brushless Shaving Cream
  • Brush: Dscosmetic “Queen of Hearts” 24/55 Yaqi G4
  • Soap: (A&E) Pedro Fiasco’s Shaving Cream - Barbershop
  • Bowl: Yaqi ABS “Duke”
  • Razor: Parker 78R
  • Blade: Sunny Supreme Stainless (2)
  • Splash: TN Dickinsons Witch Hazel with Menthol, T.Tree & Peppermint oils
  • Balm: Lucky Tiger Vanishing Cream
  • After Shave:
  • Moisturiser: Nivea Men Creme (Face-Body-Hands)

Welcome back, and you're welcome. :D

BTW, Rawr is still available at B&B, and NO2K is being wound down but for now still available from US and CA suppliers. My current tub of CF is again in its last days - and again in a sabbatical year  but this time I have a backup. :smug:

Top advise to everyone "Slip, Slop, Slap", otherwise there will be consequences later in life, I also speak from experience.
