Yesterday after dropping off my daughter at school I came back to my car with it's front bumper hanging off one side. Someone had sideswiped it and not left a note. Either an oblivious driver or someone without insurance. Ruined and wasted my day sorting out insurance. Luckily I was able to get it looked at by a repairer who popped the bumper back in so it's still drivable. Now it's a question of waiting for parts to arrive and god knows how long that will take in this environment. And like most professions that require physical work, the repairer is busy as hell.

Sorry to hear that mate, but unfortunately that's typical in this day and age. I live in a street bordering a school and twice a day it is busier than Queen street in my little cul-de-sac. I've seen numerous damages inflicted on parked cars and no note left afterwards. Seems cowardice is on the rise with more people unwilling to account for their errors.

Unfortunately, parts are taking forever right now. I had a Dmax write itself off on my Grand Cherokee's rear last year. For what was just a bumper replacement for my vehicle took 3 weeks just for the parts. That might not sound like a long wait, but it took 3 months just to get the vehicle into a shop before waiting those 3 weeks.

3 weeks with a Kia and a MG as hire cars was just cruel and unusual punishment.

“Get busy with the chainsaws” sounds like fun.
I get to spend quite a lot of quality time with my chainsaws, but I prefer to do so having had time to get some breakfast down the inside of my neck. This tree was big enough (a bit over 4 feet diameter) that even having sliced it up into biscuits 14" thick, they're still way too heavy and bulky to lift, so had to be laboriously manoeuvred with a cant hook just to get them out of the way.

A perfect start to the day... 💩
