Empire - R41 - Personna Lab Blue (2) - Semogue 750 - Nivea - Profondo

Does anyone else use Lab Blues regularly? I got them because they don’t have wax dots but I’m not sure they are the perfect match for this razor.

Yeah, the Lab Blues are my current baseline blade. I didn’t use them a lot though I have to confess

Shave Result: Blue Devil soap is one of my Top Tier soap bases, so I get top lather and performance from it. Boosted the scent with 4 drops of Fragrant Oil. The scent is pleasant Australian oceanic floral green type aroma that reminds of hot beaches and sun-cream, scent strength medium with the Frag oil booster. The Lord L6 razor is not finished very well but it shaved OK, I would classify it as medium-mild aggressive, would have preferred a thicker handle though still a good budget option for AU$15 or less.

*potentially a game changing day!!!

Pre-shave:- Hot flannel
Brush:- Grizzly Bay w/ Fanchurian knot
Soap:- P&B - Albion
Razor: Blackland - Vector
Blade: Feather - Professional
Tonic: Lucky Tiger - Post Shave Tonic
Moisturiser: Neutrogenia - Hydroboost

Was pretty happy to day to get home and find a little package waiting for me from Blackland! Pretty much unwrapped it at the doorstep - despite hearing the doggo inside our house itching to get out and see me lol
Very impressed with the quality. It looks and feels like a finer more sleeker version of the Blackbird. It’s a sexy looking razor in the flesh!

This is the first time I’ve ever shaved with an artist blade, so depending on your mileage take this with a pinch of salt…..

During the shave I was very soft handed with the razor during the shave - I think in my mind I associate the blackbird as being pretty aggressive and the feather being the samurai of blades. The experience was fantastic - it was a super efficient and quick shave - the wide blade meant I only ended up making a fraction of the passes and the Feather Pro made light work of the head stubble. I struggled a little with the blade angle ontop of the dome - but practice will fix that.

Even at this early stage I can see why some people say it’ll be the last razor you buy!!

Thankyou for the advice! @SpeedyPC @Gargravarr @Holiday @Errol !!!

All in all - great shave :)

Glad it works for you :)

I took mine camping with me, even though it's the most precious of my razors. Sometimes it's a little fierce when I'm stuck with very hard water (sadly the DRH cream I brought with me doesn't always play well with that, but i just won't put up with ARKO) but the end result is just sublime.

Pre-shave: Shower
Brush:- Mastro Livi 24 mm super badger
Str8:- Mastro Livi Grifetto 6/8
Soap:- P.160 - Tippo Morbido
Aftershave:- Cella

In memory of my dear departed father, who finally gave up the spirit after 2 year fight with lung cancer and chemo last week, I have been wearing a trimmed beard in the style he wore for the last few decades. After the service on Friday took to the beard like a hot knife through butter with P160 and Grifetto touched up on a thurry.
So very sorry for your loss @Holiday

Congrats and welcome to the Vector Appreciation Club!

The Vector has been a RAD killer for me and pretty much my go-to razor for 2023 as such always delivers a quick, smooth and efficient shave and for the odd lazy day I use the Blackbird as it easily mows down my sand paper growth!
