Is that the same razor as @Errol reviewed here? If so, you clearly get along with it a bit better than he did :)
 
Pre-shave:- Cool Shower
Bowl/Scuttle:- Captain's Choice
Brush:- Semogue SOC Two Band Finest Badger in Ash Wood 24/53mm knot
Soap/Cream:- D.R. Harris ~ Arlington
Razor/Blade:- Blackbird Lite SB Polished / Gillette Nacet #10
Post/After-shave:- T.N. Dickinson Witch Hazel Astringent mixed into the 240ml bottle with Invite E High Potency Pure Oil (10 drops), Natural Plant Glycerin (20) & Tea Tree Oil Antiseptic (5)
Moisturising Cream:- Aveeno Active Naturals Daily Fragrance-Free (for autumn & winter season)
Fragrance:- Proraso Wood & Spice

Shave Result: TOBS is a reliable cream that produces excellent medium dense lather with great lather performance, although it does dry quickly on the residual so I use a wet hand to keep the face moist. To my nose the scent is a light orange citrus forward aroma with a complex background, lather scent strength 4/10. Just love the easy shave I get with AL Overlander, awesome clean smooth and close DFS.

  • Pre Shave: Suavecito Brushless Shaving Cream
  • Brush: Omega “Faux Jade” 11842 with 27/52 Boar
  • Soap: Taylor of Old Bond Street - The St.James Collection
  • Bowl: Yaqi ABS Black “Duke”
  • Razor: Karve AL Overlander
  • Blade: Lord Cool Super Stainless (2)
  • Astringent Splash: TN Dickinsons Witch Hazel with Menthol & T.Tree oil
  • Balm: Lucky Tiger Vanishing Cream
  • After Shave: Imperial Leather AS
  • Moisturiser: Nivea Men Creme (Face-Body-Hands)

No problem, I'm just glad you don't consider it a gimmick. I had it on my shopping list for some time, until circumstances forced me to change my mind.

Based on posts in many forums I visit, It's a pretty popular razor. And even more so now that Above The Tie is going out of business. Gimmick or not, it's the only slant SE on the market, and shaves quite well.
