Watcha wearing today?

Slow Mo watch - I like simple and a one hand with 24 hour dial watch qualifies.
Stock picture - wrist selfies not my strong point

I just ordered my son that exact G shock today. A GD350 is on the way for me too... I'm hoping it's not going to be too big or I'll have to move on to the 5600 - but the vibe alarm is something I can really use...

Never thought I'd be wearing one of these...

But I thought a tough watch was in order. Having recently taken up Masters Hockey (that refers to the age, not the experience and skill level) This is handy for training and games and is something you don't have to worry about beating up. I use the stopwatch to see how long I'm on if we've lots of subs.

I wear it to work a fair bit too. A bigger watch than my 38mm SARB, but so light. The accuracy is nice too. I see how it's going every few days with Time.is.com, which checks your PC clock with an atomic one. The Casio is barely a half second out. My mechanicals are invariably a couple of minutes astray.

I kind of wish I'd have hung on for a Protrek. While this is good, the Protreks have a great display, classy looks, a better light and a heap of toys I'll never use, apart from the barometer.

I killed my favourite swatch :( so it's back to the Gshock for me

Gshocks rock! My GD350 was too big for business use and I'm over my analogs now I'm rocking a Casio W800. Not as robust as a Gschock but it doesn't need to be with business attire. It's a great size, great display with everything I want to know at a glance, light weight, slim under a shirt cuff, keeps great time, 10 year battery, water resistant and has a great retro 80s vibe. All of around $20 or so delivered from memory...
