Well this will be my world for the next while - hotel bathrooms and travel kit.

See you on the other side Australia!

Now were talking…. R41 + Feather, upped the level of efficiency nicely while only slightly sacrificing smoothness. I could tell right away from the first pass WTG that this blade was sharp. The omega is starting to break in now, still got a bit to go but can see hairs beginning to split.

Pre: Hot Shower
Razor: R41 + Yaqi Handle
Blade: Polsilver SI (3)
Brush: Omega Boar
Soap: Mystic Waters – Coconut & Sandalwood
Post: A&E Uno Splash

Prep: Valobra Glycerlanolina soap, Myrsol Emulsion
Brush: Saponificio Varesino Two-band High Mountain Manchurian White Badger
Soap: Saponificio Varesino Felce Aromatica
Razor: Wolfman WR1
Blade: NOS Gillette 'Swede' (3)
Post: Thursday Plantation Tea Tree & Witch Hazel, Musgo Real Aftershave Balm
Scent: Musgo Real Spiced Citrus

Delightful shave.

Brush: Omega
Blade: Perma Sharp (3)
Razor: RR Baby Smooth (Al)
Soap: Perreira Charcoal
Pre: Shower
Post: APR Bombora splash // Vaseline Intensive Care Moisturiser

A quick pre-work shower shave so no picture. A very simple yet satisfying DFS. The Baby Smooth is one of those 'cruise control' razors and the light weight from the aluminium suits it well. The boar brush produced slick lather and the citrus scent from the soap was quite pleasant. Topped off with some delightful Bombora for what I'm hoping will be a productive day :) Happy shaves!

I have still not mastered lathering this base, but I got a decent enough lather this morning that allowed for 2 good passes. The slickness of this base really is awesome. It took me a while to wash the residual lather off. As for the scent of this soap, to me, this is the most pleasant lavender soap that I have used.

Tom, that brush is the work of an artist.

I load it quite heavy i guess, and keep adding more and more water. I've also found light pressure on the brush, minimising splaying, or paint brush strokes works best. In addition, when its 'almost' ready, i will drizzle some water on the brush and paint upwards before i clear the runways and start shaving.

thanks for the tips

Pre-shave:- Cold Water straight from the tap
Brush:- Muhle Synth. v2.0 Silvertip Fibre Faux Horn 25/60mm knot
Soap/Cream:- The Club ~ Chasing the Dragon
Bowl/Scuttle:- Captain's Choice
Razor/Blade:- Karve CB Brass 'B' / Polsilver Super Iridium #10
Post/After-shave:- T.N. Dickinson Witch Hazel Astringent mixed into the 240ml bottle with Natural Glycerin (20), Tea Tree Antiseptic (10), Lavender (15) & Peppermint (10 drops)
Fragrance:- Hugo Boss Intense

The Club 'Chasing the Dragon' tallow soap is FANTASTIC, the performance level of the lather and quality of the soap is very high up, pretty much the same as Ariana & Evans, Barrister & Mann, Declaration Grooming, Noble Otter and the Wholly Kaw.

The scent straight from the tub I can grab from my nose which is:- coffee, pepper, something dark woody scent in the background, sandalwood, maybe rose, vanilla and possibly bourbon in the background.

This brush is awesome! Looks fantastic and the splay is wonderful! It's closer to a cashmere than a boss knot.

The brush reminds me of a movie, from this creepy woman below.

Pre: Hot towel, Pre shave oil (Nico's home brew)
Razor: RazoRock Game Changer with .84 head & Barber pole handle
Blade: BIC
Bowl: Handmade bowl, Mk2
Brush: RazoRock Silvertip Synthetic
Soap: Squadron Group Captains Blend
Post: Squadron Group Captains Blend Splash
Gave the Bic blade a go. Not for me.

iPhone photo.

Took the effort today to get the prep a little better ; although somewhat light. Prep with warm shower and Prosaro pre-shave red.

Timeless Bronze SB 0.38 : The perfect daily razor. Think of it as an upgrade to the Rockwell. Shaves close, shaves well and relatively mild, safe and such an intuitive razor. Extremely smooth.
Polsilver blade : Not my usual but my wife found a few boxes in my boot (must have fallen out of the briefcase).
APR Fougere Trois : Still one of my favourite soaps. So lusciously smooth, perfect buffer and I now have 3 or 4 tubs of this.
@Tony Forsyth Brush (Charity Auction) Such a difference. Light and day better than the Simpsons I had been using. Soft, luscious on the face and so very well made. Held together well and created beautiful lather. I don't know why I bothered buying the Paladin which arrived today.

Alum ; Dermalogica Toner & Moisturiser to finish.

Brush: JR 351
Soap: Stirling Sharp Dressed Man
Razor: New Gem
Blade: Gem Wedge
Post: Stirling Baker Street
With thanks to @bald as for this beautifully honed wedge.
I prefer a SE razor but to be able to use a, nearly, 120 year old razor with an original blade is a step up and a privilege. Fantastic shave and the face feel after is great. I guess this is getting close to what the straight razor guys enjoy, with a little more safety

Brush: Omega

Razor: Merkur 37C
Soap: Wholly Kow La Fougère Parfaite

Yet another prework SOTD with very similar results. The performance and post shave feel of the soap is great and I really enjoy the 'Brut' scent. Very happy with how well the blade shaved in the slant... Have a great weekend!
