Everyone is a menth head, just most don't realise it... yet!

@borked I'm not a menth head and how can you possibly say that everyone is a menth head when you cannot read my mind or hypnotist me :p

Guys, some members here have a single razor that are worth more than your entire collection!
Others have 4 figures in just soap, others blades and a select few would do that in stones, yes rocks!
Relax and get back to us about your newly found 'addiction' when you're selling the family car to purchase a NOS Bottom Dial ;)

@borked I felt my ears were burning then I logged on and saw your post. I'm sure there are plenty of people's ears burning too and probably a lot hotter than mine. (y)

I don't know how much I've spent but I view it as an investment in me that has also provided me immense joy and turned shaving from a chore to the highlight of my day. Plus those 'rocks' are worth every penny! :D

Surprise mail call at work this morning, 3 days after ordering which is super fast as Australia Post is so hopelessly slow now days. Looking forward to giving these a run!

Got one! Good condition, great price. Case is more corroded that the images suggested but I am confident it will clean up well. Mechanism is good, smooth but most important the strop and hone are in good condition. I found last night I actually have a set of instructions at home to go with it too. I've done a quick blade test and seems the edge is in good condition so I'll be shaving with this tomorrow!

My Dad sent me 2 razors this week, they were his that he used for ages before getting lazy and going electric.
I didn't think I'd feel so excited about a vintage razor but, I can't wait to use the #58. It will be something I can look after and use, then pass down to my son. I find that kinda cool!!
The Slim Twist is a bit worse for wear with sticky tape around the handle where the plastic has cracked, so it will be display only.

Nice razors. Heirloom razor is always a great thing. Maybe a bit of superglue and remove the tape?
Sadly my only heirlooms are electric! My grandfather was an electrical engineer so jumped on the very first electrics. My father was the same.

For me and my son, well he'll get the lot I suppose! He's only 11, and likes to choose the soap & a/s for me so I will be very happy the day he is ready to shave and I will bequeath him one of my century+ old straights.

Superglue may do the trick, I'll have to inspect it more closely.

Are you allowed to overrule you son's choice? PAA Frost Byte on a cold winters morning would definitely get the thumbs down from me
My 3 yr old loves to smell all my sample soaps, his favourite is Crown King Steeplechase. The Wet Shaving force is strong in this one!!

Handle is fat (20mm), but light (~110g) because Titanium - so basically I have a large handle (for my large paws) but a similar weight than a much smaller stainless steel handle...

Rafael released 9 of those, I always wanted to try a UFO so I went for it. I admit if I had the choice, I would have gone 10-15mm longer and maybe a couple mm thinner - butt beggars can't be choosers and it feels amazing so I will give it a go :D

BUTT BEGGARS????? Maybe the handle is actually a butt plug? :p:p:p

@SpeedyPC, mate, what are you doing to me? :( I just ordered a few Haslinger and Saponifico from TSW and a few TTFFC soaps fron US. And a few aftershaves in the wishlist... I probably should start delivering everything to my work rather to my home... :)

PS. Thanks for the link to the review.

@dewynter welcome to my world of wet shaving ;)

Over-rule - no, but I do give guidance. Eg "Not one of those, it's cold and they have too much menthol for today". It's a discrete way of teaching him what's what.

I really do like the smell of Steeple Chase. Wasn't so excited with the performance but I only had a small sample that allowed only one lather. I have determined to try it again sometime..

I was looking for a good price on an iKon Tech and seem to have purchased a 3X Slant as well. Curiosity got the better of me. Oh well:rolleyes::)
It's a pretty well priced head. I am thinking about it. It's $29.99 on Italian barber for the X3 head. Hmm, should I?
