Not sure how, slack I suppose, but I realised when I woke today that 8 days had passed since my last outing with a razor.
I stropped my new Proserpine razors 6/8"
Carefully removed a small amount of paper around the neck of my wonderful Derby stick. Then made a most wonderous lather.
8 days growth stood no chance. No cuts, no weepers, no irritation. Single pass and DFS.
Finished with a mandatory splash of isopropyl alcohol and a dab of Nivea sensitive, cos I'm a sensitive type :)

Today is exactly one year since I took delivery of the most perfect razor imaginable. It seemed like a big expense at the time, but have never regretted one penny of it, especially as it has freed me of any desire for other razors. What better way to celebrate than with a fresh blade and a sublime blast of the purest lavender...

Brush: PAA Atomic Rocket
Razor: Merkur 34C // Smart Helix Apollo H (both sides of plate)
Blade: Personna Lab Blue (5)

Soap: TSM Fougere sample
Post: Nivea Sensitive Post Shave Balm // Phoenix & Beau Spitfire solid cologne
WTG, ATG, Touchups = DFS // DFS+

Its been a great month enjoying some kindly donated samples from the P&C Sample Box. Last week of shaves using the Personna blade have resulted in close shaves with surprisingly good results when paired with the Apollo Mild plate. Not quite the longevity of a Wizamet or Minora but super sharp and comfortable for my thick growth...

¿Swarmy?
I hope you mean smarmy. Or at least I think I do. That's still a word I tend to associate with certain oleaginous and otherwise unwholesome persons such as our current PM...

Then again, the superior person's vocabulary offers a useful adjective for the appearance of many TOBS creams: nacreous. I always found it a bit unsettling, though I can't deny the stuff gets the job done.
