Got something cool? Non-shaving Acquisitions Thread

Not my pictures but this little baby rocked up this morning and has fast become my new favourite torch 😂

Astrolux K2 in clear/white UV resin (it glows!).

300 lumen, high Colour Rendering Index (CRI) SST20 LED 4000K output temp + UV light, RGB aux LEDs and Red and Blue Secondaries (think police, but solid red, solid blue, Flashing and alternating flash)

17g and only 65mm X 16mm

Looks like a good little torch, at a good price. I always say the best torch is the one that's in your hand, so the smaller the footprint the better.

Bit small for my liking but the form factor and output is perfect for around the house
Sometimes a torch can never be too small. If it's on your keyring, for instance. Until recently, I've been using an Eagtac D25AAA, but right now that's been replaced by an Olight i1R 2 EOS (a freebie with the Warrior X Pro) which has similar specs in an even smaller form factor. I don't actually much care about the USB charging though, since I always have a stock of rechargeable AAA batteries.

Once, I had to change a wheel in the snow on a moonless night with the D25AAA as my only light, and it was possibly a literal lifesaver.

Looks like the perfect keychain torch.
From Baggood?
How long does shipping take from China?
Yeah, Banggood and it took 12 days in shipping, however, I ordered it as a preorder on the 23rd of Feb and it shipped on the 5th of March (when it was officially released.

Agreed, I run a Desert Tan Olight i1R2 on my keys now and so does the fiancee. it's better than nothing which can be very dangerous!

Wanted this for ages and when I saw the reissue was orange I jumped on the pre order! Never owned this deck. Had the Hawk claw then Mountain.

A 1984 Mike McGill Powell Peralta. I'm going to build this up with Venture 6.1 trucks, rat bone wheel and bones rails most likely fluro green for the era.

So awesome.

Didn't understand a work you said - but it looks cool!

thanks. Thought it was a very small surfboard... 🤣

You need THICKER glasses

Is that like a perculator?

not really, you basically mix your sugar.

Coffee, water mix and place it in the compartment shown. Press a button and comeback to a perfect ‘kaimaki’ which is the coffee ‘froth’ at the top. Usually to make Greek cafe you need to stop cooking coffee once it starts to rise but the timing of this affects the quality of the ‘kaimaki’ prof you turn it off too late, having any kaimaki at all

this maker does it automatically with perfect results each time

Never seen one of these before. My old-fashioned copper μπρίκι still gives perfect results :)

nice to hear your brewing up Greek cafes and in the traditional way.. nice work.. how did you get into these coffees?
Oh, I've always been into coffee generally, and have never agreed with the notion that only the Italians really know how to do it. But I spent about two years living in Greece (1978-79) and fell in love with the place. I still like to have my coffee with a glass of water on the side, even though my greek language is largely forgotten through disuse...

'Greeks do it better' there's a slogan from the 80s :)
