Got something cool? Non-shaving Acquisitions Thread

A mix of emerald labs (whey and BCAA) and some random Creatine.
I actually don’t mind the emerald labs stuff- mixes easily and tasted great.

I’m not that across supps but I just can’t get below 84kg and I’m at a 1k deficit, so we will see if the BCAA helps
From my experience, BCAA will have minimal impact on weight loss as it's more to help reduce fatigue during workouts and also make water more pleasant to drink lol. Creatine would make you retain water so there will be a bit of weight gain/fluctuation as you cycle the creatine but I can say that the creatine does help you push harder especially while being on a calorie deficit so the more you lift the more you lose in the end.

I never did quite understand why people take BCAA during a workout...The branched chains do their job once the body is at rest after the workout and in the "repair" phase where it will take those BCAAs and incorporate them into the muscle during the repair work.

Creatine is good to take a short while before the workout though, since it'll increase ATP cycling.

D-ribose is also good as it kind of "bypasses" the entire glycolysis process and will get taken up by the mitochondria fairly immediately...kind of like a "shortcut" compared to glucose.

One interesting thing to add in is hydrogen infused water.
The little units are available for like $200 and there's no ongoing cost. Just infuse the hydrogen gas into drinking water, around 1L/day, has been reported to speed up recovery post workout and reduce DOMS.

Honestly I’m taking the BCAA to support protein synthesis while at a heavy deficit, im not too worried about weight from a high level but more body fat loss,
Honestly, if I was smart I would just do a week or two at maintenance..

That looks great. Have you given it a run?
We had friends over for dinner a couple of weeks ago and their children were asking what our bread knife was. I just assumed every family had one…………. just like every family used to have a record player? I guess not everyone makes sourdough these days. :)

Not yet, and not just because I dont want to blunten my nice new breadknife, also because we've had rye bread this week which is not as leathery. At the same time I got sick of the near misses and bought a bread knife the wife changed recipes :)

My Father was taken in his coffin from my Mothers house to that song so it seems somewhat appropriate that I own one.
If I get a send-off like that, I hope they use the Ying Tong Song...

I've never taken myself seriously in life, so no reason why I should start in the aprés-vie...

@gthomas04 which model did you go for?
I did parts for Benz for a while.
