My good friends @Mark1966 and @Nightguard will particularly identify with my joy in the following:

All my parcels seem to come at once!

A great deal on a couple of soaps and splashes. And a fantastic deal on the brush! Thanks to @todras .

A Gem Damaskeen, boxed with some Damaskeen blades and a stropping thing.

A Best British, Australian made. No markings on the razor, I presume its the original from the tin. Does anyone have any info about these?

That Damaskeene is sweet!

I should note that the item is NOS and pristine / unused - in the original box and with the complimentary blades. Heck - it even has the original price tag - it was purchased from Follows & Hills Ltd in Sheerness, Kent.

Finally! the other half of my Mystic Water soap order Arrived....

but seriously though, this mysterious package from Grace & Abbie Soapworks aka @Sxot in deepest, darkest Queensland (complete with it's own time-zone and speed :p ) just arrived and it smells great!

All Australian Private Reserve Winter 2017 pre-sale orders will ship Monday and will include a free gift from APR as a thank you for your show of support :artist:

So who's responsible forgot ignoring the directional signs? You or the freight company? ;-p I was thinking "this is a waste of time" as I put them on but since it's not AusFail I can only hope. Not that it really matters.

That would be me

I did wonder about those to be honest especially when the courier threw the box out of the Van - he must have thought they were more of my expensive essential oils as he loves to throw those, or anything marked fragile really. He is a nice guy, not big of warnings though it must be said :D

Late night hunting.

Will need to wait a few weeks before I see them and test them out.
1. Undescribed as White (Bakelite/Hard Plastic)
2. Gillette Slim Adjustable Razor Q1 Cased
3. STAR Gold-Plated Razor
4. GEM--Silver Tone MicroMatic--Clog Proof.

Don't know anything about GEMs and first razor is a Gillette slim twist. Great, here we go again, now to source some gem blades after research.

Some nice finds there. The Clog pruf is the milder of the Micromatic family, probably a good place to start. I get my Gem blades from Connaught Shaving, posted from the UK. You could get some from there but a better idea might be if I PIF you a few to see how you like the Gem SE. PM me and I'll send some, one good turn deserves another

That's a nice job lot right there! @Sticky is bang on about Connaughts. Tryablade.com is also good for carbon steel 3-facet blades, which are a nice departure from the Stainless blades most SE users buy in bulk.

I'm also happy to send a few blades your way if you'd like to test them before committing to a larger purchase.

Oo nice! I've got a micromatic OC and a 1912, fantastic razors are the SEs of many names

Ok as at this point I don't know anything about GEMs or paint scraper SE's :joyful:
Firstly thank you @Sticky a PM will come your way and also have admired your recent purchases  Also wasn't expecting a reciprocal PIF so soon.
@huntereyes_ Thank you I just learnt that GEM blades are called 3-facet blades and thank you too for the offer but for now a few blades should get me by. Besides shouldn't you be using them as you can't use those NOS gillettes

So need to learn fast about GEM razors. Is there a table/link of where they all compare/fit together?

1 is interesting. I can't recall seeing a Slim Twist without a corrugated handle, like this -

The second one is not a Slim but a 'Black Beauty', more correctly called the Super Adjustable. Interestingly it seems to be the short handle version, I think I've only see the longer handle version in the uncommon Q1 date code -

Nice pickups mate!

@Mark1966 as always the Guru steps in (y) so thank you!
Not sure as going by seller description so always wanted the short black beauty and grabbed it. Time will tell what it really is.
Did a quick search and spotted an Astra 901 matches the white one and very interesting indeed :) as I like the eastern block clones.
Again, won't know until I sight them.
