AusFarce or AusFantastic?

Beyond incompetent. I have moved over to their 'business service' for all my orders as it integrates with my WP website back end allowing me to export orders, tracking and so forth.

In the past week I have had 3 orders go missing and one be returned, despite the label being AusPost generated. One of the others simply wasn't scanned at any of the points in NSW prompting the customer to send me emails, to which I had to investigate and resolve for them (quite rightfully too) but this is a waste of my time, I am paying them for a solution and to deliver my goods.

The last package was returned for god knows what reason (sorry @Spud1 I will sent it again express on monday). No explanation from AusPost, it was correctly labeled with the correct amount of postage.

Australia Post are a complete failure when it comes to business.

Thank you so much @todras .
Very much appreciated.

As a business owner it must be a stressful part of your day not knowing if or when orders will be delivered correctly! As @borked says, customer service is not as prevalent these days as when I was growing up. And I’m not yet 40! Yet another reason to buy your stuff!

It is stressful mate - a lot of my orders come from women who are buying for their husbands, boyfriends - they might be gifts, birthday presents and so forth. They find me from google or instagram and have no knowledge of wet-shaving. When a package is lost, won't track or what have you they are furious - to say it's stressful is an understatement, and I understand their anger and frustration at my failure to perform in the delivery of their goods.

It's not just the delivery, it's whether they will even be tracked or whether they will randomly be returned to the sender in error with no explanation - All the mistakes Australia Post make cost me time and money to rectify, and most importantly they waste my customers time as my customers have to then write to me and ask where there package is or why isn't it tracking - it pisses off my customers who have paid for goods that I am obliged (and want to) deliver to them as quickly as possible.

A lot of people who buy from AP Reserve now don't use this forum, they don't know me directly and they have normal consumer outcome expectations - they pay, I deliver which is not only the law, it's the whole point of e-commerce convenience.

Australia Post is damaging Australian businesses with their atrocious performance and failure to fulfill their obligations.

@todras you should write a complaint to the CEO of Australian Post and also to the ACCC.

This is why it's so easy to support you.
You go where some in this industry fail to, that is customer service beyond the point of sale.
Phil could and should take a leaf from your book mate.

Which is all well and good - but should not be necessary and has a cost - borne by the vendor!

I know a lot of US vendors don't ship overseas on the basis it is not worth the hassle for the extra business. I know businesses locally who factor into their budgets losses due to AusPost and they don't bother claiming compensation because it is simply not worth it.

It is stressful mate ...

Exactly! You are paying the price, financially and/or emotionally for their failings ...

Not worth the energy unfortunately

Well... Yet again, AusPost has screwed me.

I made an order and had it sent to Crace Postal Lockers so that I can pick it up after-hours since I'm at work all day.
I have just received a notification that it has been instead sent to a small standard post-office. Only open 9am-5pm. Closed on weekends.
Seriously!? WTF AusPost?
I'm paid by the hour. It will literally cost me more to leave work early to collect my package than it would to just order a new item. (it is a tube of metal polish)

There is literally an extended-hours distribution centre about 1km away from there, that ALSO has parcel lockers. Why would you do this to me!?

I really think they're just taking the piss.

Call them up.
Yell, scream and abuse them until they agree to send it free of charge to where it was supposed to go.
Profit.

Seems like shipito is trying to copy AusFarce on a Global scale...my last package from their California Warehouse reached me after a month via Germany and the Netherlands...

Eek. You'd think they would at least divide the initial leg by continent!

had a very similar experience last week, item posted to me, addressed to my parcel locker so that I can collect out of hours...because, like most other people I work during the day. Get the text message 'thanking me' for collecting the parcel...which is strange because I wasn't even aware it had arrived.
Rang customer services, who eventually tell me that it's been delivered to the local shopping centre and is at the newsagents/post office counter....which is open business hours only. I tried to get my point across about why I had it sent to a parcel locker in the first place....and I kid you not...the reply was 'cant you take time off work to collect it?' Absolutely 'kin useless!

All the none DHL/FedEx airfreight from retail mailers have different SLA's with the freight companies, while I have not used shipit to in a fair while I'm betting shipitto scaled down to a much cheaper level as they knew business would drop right off as they have to pass on the GST.

I’m using MyUS/FedEx for the first time....
Package arrived at MyUS Saturday and FedEx picked up yesterday with an ETA to my door next Friday - I’ll be happy with that....(y)(y)(y)

From their site, might be handy for those that want to import aftershaves/perfume and don't mind putting their hands in their pockets... I use DHL and Fedex for my Class Y stuff by going to them directly, Fedex does economy and express (two price tiers takes 24-72hrs from US) for my stuff with a comparable price while DHL is cheaper but takes 4-5 days.

If you don't want to wait, I recommend FedEx while if you dont mind a few days, go the DHL as they are usually much cheaper in regards to dangerous goods shipping - either way expect to pay through the nose if you are shipping splashes/perfume - in comparison to the value of the goods.

We are allowed to export perfume to certain countries. There is a handling fee of 7% of the total value of the perfume, with a minimum fee of $18.50 when shipping with DHL or FedEx. Perfumes may need to ship separately from other items.
