Agree I was worried when the tracking showed Sendle as the couriers and as I'm based in CBR why is my order going MEL-SYD first? Plus their tracking is very vague:
Item weighed at depot...? They fail to specify which depot...? :banghead:

I don't necessarily object to businesses selecting alternative couriers, I just get shat off when they don't bother checking whether the couriers do their job. This time around, I did at least give MensBiz the heads up. Usually I just demand a chargeback through PayPal, which is always quick for this kind of situation.
 
We used to be able to skate along with an informal arrangement with the people at our local post office, where until recently they would accept packages on our behalf, so couriers could deliver there. However, AusPost didn't like that, and threatened to cancel their contract. Bummer.

Absolutley with GF comment.

Offer and acceptance consumer laws. If Mens Biz dont have the item delivered to you at the address you nominated, it's refund time.

@Mark1966 Auspost have closed the community forums due to negative feedback, so I can't link you to a complaint. I have read and had my personal experiences similar over the years. 8 weeks is pretty good to have the item returned.

Been a while since I've had reason to bag the S*#! show that is Auspost, but today is something special, even by their standards. A parcel from Aliexpress, supposed to be delivered to my Parcel Locker (it was even correctly addressed according to Auspost themselves), was dropped at the sliding doors of the shopping centre where the parcel locker is located. I'm just glad it was a handful of nylon washers and not a razor or something equally as precious. The kicker? Their response was "we will look into it, it may take 1-5 business days to resolve." So my parcel is fair game to whoever finds it I guess, which means either everyone will start tagging me on Facebook in a community noticeboard with a found parcel or It'll be like it never existed. Yay

Its the sub contractors of the contractors that are contracted to Auspost who are notorious for doing this. They still get paid for non delivery as long as a slip is left. Write up slips all day while sipping on chai tea or cappuccinos and go back to the post office with a whole stack of sorry we missed you returned parcels. :rolleyes:
 
The tracking below is for a package sent to me using Australia Post EXPRESS POST from Upper Fern Tree Gully to Sunbury, a distance of < 65km as the crow flies. Posted Mon 25th Oct, delivered Tue 9th Nov. I would hate to see how long regular post would have been.

Yeah it’s stupid how it gets processed.
I got talking to the woman that’s running the Hobart post centre where everything is sorted.
Apparently everything in tassie that gets posted gets sent to them then sent out even if it sent to the next suburb over in Devonport or Launceston they truck it all the way to Hobart first.
Even when it comes to tassie from mainland (docking and offloaded in Devonport) it’s all sent hours away to Hobart then sent out from there for final delivery purely because that’s where the sorting machine is located when they built it originally
 
Of late my dealings with Ausfarce/Auspost have been positive as longest I have had to wait for delivery has been a few days with even regular weekend deliveries which has been greatly appreciated! :wideyed:
