@todras your 26mm Manchurian White Knot arrived today. This afternoon I re-chucked your vintage Boots handle back into the lathe and bored it out to 28mm and 12mm deep once drilled and sanded the handle had a light buff and polish. The knot will be set and glued tomorrow and you should have your handle back by the end of next week being that the post offices are open again on Tuesday (y)
Measurements are now:-
  • Handle height 55.6mm
  • Overall brush height 110mm
  • Handle socket size 28mm diameter x 12mm deep
  • Loft 54.4mm
Here are some progress photos taken this afternoon.

That looks amazing @Tony Forsyth - I can't believe how well that hole has been bored out given some of the horror stories I've read and disasters I've seen. Amazing, truly.

@todras - enjoy this monster, looks incredible!

Easy on there mate, 26mm is the smallest brush size I normally like to use :)

Okay @todras how much do you want for the brush name your price Mr

She is not going anywhere ever, when I found that handle on BST I knew it was a keeper and was worth spending the money on for a skilled brush craftsman like @Tony Forsyth to go to work on. It's all part of my quest to find the unicorn of vintage butterscotch handles :)

My immense gratitude once again for your skill and incredible speed @Tony Forsyth - Monsta should make you a 'Brush legend' banner for your username!
