I think we are all winners. Curiously I went back and had a look at the earlier efforts of myself and all participants. No doubt all lathers have improved tremendously. This was a genious moment from you @alfredus . A fun thread but the side effect is improvement in lather quality.

Test lather Thater 4125/3 2 band with Tabac. This brush takes as much loading as the Chubby, but gives up so much slick lather!

Thanks @TomG Arlington is a fantastic scent, i find blooming the puck first with warm water produces a very easy lather.

@alfredus - I always chuckle at your excellent lather shots. It looks like the bristles of your brush are desperately trying to break through and escape, but the wall of lather subdues them.

How's the maggards brush treating you sir?

Quite happy with it. Tips are soft but it has backbone surprisingly. You can generate a lather very easily with it. Slurps up the soap but I like to load heavy. Very reasonably priced as well
