Brush: Simpsons Wee Scot
Razor: Merkur 37c
Blade: Treet Carbon
Soap: Wickhams Sheridans
A/S: PAA Alcohol Free Bay Rum

Surprisingly good shave with the Treet Carbon blade, sharp and smooth. It'll be interesting to see how many shaves I can get on it though.
Very impressed with the PAA/HTGAM Alcohol Free Bay Rum. The Alum and menthol combination really gives it a good kick and the scent lingers for most of the day.

I don't know. I realise that the old fashioned brick and mortar based catchment analysis is dead and buried but all I have to do is punch two key words in and I get half a dozen online stores to choose from. Many with gigantic ranges and stocks of gear at prices, shipping rates and shipping times nobody in Australia can hope to match. My patriotism wains when it comes to buying from an Aussie online store in favour of a British one. Both are pretty anonymous in the end. Now if it was a decent brick and mortar store here in Perth I'd get excited. Well I would if I had any intention of buying any more shaving gear. We have (or had, I can't imagine they're still in business) one here. Run by the most miserable pair of people you'll ever meet and they charge literally 3 times the online price for anything in the store. I bought one block of alum and paid near on $20. It was so outrageous I just had to.

Yet another balcony story. It's so easy. Man I'm tempted to take this one step further and become politically reactionary. Donald Trump for president!

I just hope we are not tied in to buying at higher prices due to the Australian tax, and distribution agreements meaning we can't source elsewhere easily.

I think you will all be pleasantly surprised. Pricing is a major focus and the idea is to have pricing comparable to overseas will faster delivery. It could end up being cheaper as shipping costs from some stores and artisans are note exactly competitive.

Two wins. Things containing alcohol can be posted here and postage will be faster and much cheaper.

Even if the price is similar to overseas there would be no real reason not to buy here. Hopefully it's a squeak cheaper though.

Absolutely two wins and personally I'm prepared to pay 10% more than overseas just to Gerry Harvey that it is NOT about the GST we pay in Australia it is about customer service !!!!!

Here we go, first part in the SOTD thread.

Brush: Muhle pure bristle
Soap: Proraso Red
Razor: Giesen and Forsthoff Timor 5/8

First shave since getting the G&F honed so really this is my first shave with a shave ready straight. Still got a lot to learn, especially when it comes to which direction to shave which section of my face. I'm having particular troubles with the lower half of my neck.

I think next shave I'll crack open one of the Shaver Heaven soaps that arrived this week (many thanks @Anthony, they smell great) and see what happens!

Preshave: @Draco Noir preshave oil
Razor: Edwin Jagger DE89 with Windrose Handle
Blade: Polsilver SI
Brush: Semogue 1305
Soap: Martin de Candre Fougere
Post Shave: Thayers Lemon and Pinaud Clubman
Three pass shave with no nicks or cuts or irritation. Started dryish and added water till I achieved a thick and creamy consistency. Provided excellent protection and glide. Not much scent strength but pleasant enough. The Polsilver blade has the right combination of sharpness and smoothness for me. Great result.
