Pre-1924 T.R. Cadman "Bengall" full hollow 6/8 Dutch (round) point dressed in golden wattle (aracia pycnantha) timber scales. Edge is finished and maintained on diamond pasted balsa.

Tomorrow I start practising for shaving with the Kamisori razors on their way to me from @LesC. I will be learning with my shorties, trying to shave with just one side of the blade against my skin.

Too soon with the new brush, I'm going to have to subject it to a course of daily palm lathering before I use it next. Today I loaded up an enormous amount of near-unobtainium soap, which the knot almost totally refused to give back. :rolleyes:

As a matter of interest, is this the current version of the T&H soap? And more importantly, what's your opinion of it? I gather it is now pretty much veg based, but that doesn't trouble me if it's done well. I'm always on the lookout for good quality hard soaps.

It's an older NOS version that I got off the Bay Don't know if it's veg. or not, but it lathers well with a pleasing warmish scent.
