Vitos preshave (not much left!)
Shavemac zebra beehive
Reef Point - Peerless
Razorock Black Mamba
Gillette Super Platinum (1)
Pinaud Clubman Vanilla aftershave

First shave with the mamba on loan from a friend in the UK. In use it felt like the greatest razor ever filling all the hype but the end result wasn't quite as close as I wanted. I'll have to try some other blade combos. Maybe a feather!

Blade: GSB(2)
Brush: EJ Best Badger
Soap: Proraso Green(May Madness)
After: TN Dickinson WH with Aloe Vera

A reasonable shave tonight, but I didn't do a proper cleanup as I'm feeling a bit of irritation, not sure if it is the GSB or something else like the never-ending Proraso ;)

The May Madness has had a benefit - I've just hit the sweet spot for the water in the lather. I took it a little further than I normally do, and suddenly I had lather climbing out of the bowl!

A good innings indeed, @Lifes a Peach. Talk about staying power (both you and the Timor blade). As @Normie observed, a pretty rare achievement these days especially with a modern blade. Congrats on a noteworthy achievement :)(y):)

Thank you, @Draco Noir . Quite a new experience for me too. I've got some vintage Schicks somewhere in the house. Starting next week I might see how many I can get out of one of them.

Before going on The Sabbatical I was madly hunting a Mamba. They are hard to come by! Would love to get your views after pairing it with a Feather.
What's Reef Point like?

Razor: Rockwell 6S (3)
Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (1)
Brush: Simpson Duke 2 "Pure"
Soap: Shaver Heaven Peppermint Plus
After: Alum, Myrsol Formula "C", Shaveworks "The Cool Fix"

Success!!! The GSB was far better in the Rockwell for me this morning.
Achieved a SAS after two passes, and after the third with a small amount of clean up BBS!
Glad I tried the different blade, this was the first time I have tried the GSB's.
As usual, Shaver Heaven's performance was brilliant, and the Myrsol finishes the job quite nicely! (y)
Tried out the Shaveworks lotion, small sting when it goes on. Leaves the skin feeling a little better after application.
Altogether a happy camper this morning, considering I usually only shave every second day - I've shaved 3 days in a row so far...;)

Razor: Gillette 'Fatboy' Adjustable (5)
Blade: Vintage Schick Superior Platinum (5)
Brush: Vintage butterscotch Culmak reknotted with TGN Finest
Soap/Cream: Mike's Natural Shaving Soaps - Barbershop
Aftershave: Captain's Choice Cat 'o' Nine Tails

I know I've been on a Mysrol roll but after being out early, pre-shave, in the Canberra cold sometimes you just need to 'feel the burn'!

Preshave: PAA Ice soap and Proraso Red
Razor: Standard
Blade: Personna Med Prep
Soap: Mystic Water Teakwood and Cardamom(May madness)
Brush: Simpson Commodore X2
Post Shave: Razorock Limes balm and Floid Vigoroso
Two pass shave with a clean up under the chin. Near BBS with no nicks or cuts and it was effortless. The Personna blade, while not as sharp as the Feather, is just a comfortable blade to use. The Simpson brush gets better with each shave. Slurps up the lather and releases it when required.

Simply Wonderful...

Face Wash : Lime Glycerine soap
Pre-Shave : Myrsol Emulsion
Brush : Simpson's Commodore X1
Soap : Meissner Tremonia Mint Ice Menthol
Razor : Cedric Christ Kamisori
After Shave : Top Seven Emulsion, Hanae Mori HM AS

I've been looking forward to shaving with the Cedric Christ Kamisori this week, and today was the day.

I've been having problems with the new scuttle - collapsing lathers, lathers that were all large air bubbles and no body, you name it. I finally figured it out - I was using water that was too hot in the scuttle and the temperature was causing the shaving soap to break down. It seemed more severe with tallow soaps (Mystic Water, Mike's etc). Anyway, backing off the temperature a bit still delivers nice warm lather, but without any of the problems.

So a fantastic lather was whipped up, and the task of mowing down 3 days growth began. The kamisori is a dream to shave with - sharp, smooth and very close. A 2 pass shave left me feeling very smooth and comfortable. As @bald as has observed, it's also a bit of a buzz knowing you honed and stropped your own razor until it shaves just the way you like :)

I finished off with my current favourite combo - Top Seven to condition the skin, and the very good Hanae Mori HM splash. The Hanae Mori is really good value : you can still enjoy whiffs of it hours later.

I really look forward to your SOTD's @Draco Noir. From a well thought out photo to a terrifically written account off the shave. Wonderful shave! [emoji2]
