Brush: Shavemac 2-band
Soap: Phoenix & Beau Spitfire
Razor: Leresche #77
Blade: Schick Platinum
After-shave: PAA Dejú Fougére splash

Thanks @Mark1966 for the soap - it's a beauty. From a new UK artisan soap maker, this is a "Leather - Juniper - Tobacco" scented tallow soap with a great name and look. It was slick, protective and scented as labelled. Scent was not bad at all; certainly suits the image. A thumbs up from me.

Returning to a Leresche #77 resulted in a super smooth shave. The PAA Dejú Fougére smells terrific; a beautiful fougere with (unusually) a fruity pineapple at the front. Almost 6 hours later the scent is still wafting around; one strength of a PAA Aftershave is its longevity.
The scent description of that soap, just reading it sounds divine. Sadly it's out of stock now [emoji22]

Not just tallow - they specify BEEF tallow - it makes all the difference :)

Glad you are enjoying it, looking forward to trying it next month maybe ...

It was a limited edition - you never know they may repeat it

One can only try. It may come back on. Otherwise, yourshaving.com has them for a slightly higher price.

Pre: GFT lime skin food
Brush: SOC
Soap: Antiga Barbearia de Bairro
Razor: iKon B1 OSS
Blade: PSI
Post: alum, witch hazel, Myrsol Plastic shave

Weirdly enough, the ABDB caused some minor irritation to my skin tonight, not sure why. Didn't the last time.

First two passes, wtg and xtg was very smooth. PSI is very well paired with the OSS for me. I bought a 100 from Bulgaria. Looks legit enough to me. Now, atg was okay at first then I got a little arrogant when I was going through my chin area. Larger strokes and heavier pressure. Obtained several nicks and a slight burn with the alum and aftershave.

Shave wasn't too bad, just minor burn. The ABDB was okay, didn't blew me off my socks with its slickness and performance. Scent was okay, wasn't my favourite though. Damn Saponificio Varesino, you set too high of a bench mark.

Merkur 34C
Vokshod
Epsilon 2 Band Badger
B&M Le Petit Chypre

I dont quite get all the hype in regards to the slickness of B&M ? I agree that the scents are great but I figure I am missing something to get these wonderful slick lathers everyone else talks about. Perhaps it's a matter of not using enough water ?

Regardless still a great shave and a soap scent that works in any season. I really wanted to go for the Stirling Orange Chill but thinking about the menthol hit on these colder mornings was enough to leave it back in the draw.

Got in touch with Kerry, the Spitfire will be back on the 28th May 2016.
The limited reason was actually the Obsidian, not the Spitfire, as the Spitfire is one of their core range.
Pin the dates to yo calendars fellow leather sniffers!

Good news! Very cool looking soap if nothing else :)

Buying two tubs is the sweet spot with postage I think though ...

Sounds good. I managed to convert a friend of mine to wet shaving lately. Will be a nice welcome to the community present.

Nice!

Pre: Blind Barber Face Wash
Brush: Muhle Silvertip Fibre
Soap: Tabula Rasa Cardamom
Razor: Rockwell (4)
Blade: Feather (1)
Post: Myrsol Limon

Mmmmmm.....cardamom and lemon.
After being reminded of this soap by @silver thought I'd give it a spin tonight. So glad I did. I load it like a soap (probably too much) and face lathered adding plenty of water to get masses of incredible, slick lather. The brush certainly helped in that regard.

Despite my love of vintage Gillettes, the Rockwell is fast becoming my favourite razor. It feels so right in the hand and gives the most comfortable shave.

Razor: Gillette 'Fatboy' Adjustable (5)
Blade: Vintage Schick Superior Platinum (4)
Brush: Vintage butterscotch distressed Culmak reknotted with TGN finest
Soap/Cream: Mike's Natural Shaving Soaps - Barbershop
Aftershave: Myrsol F/Extra

Hmmm, I wondering if F/Extra should have been before Formula C but am putting that aside for a moment to ponder how this May madness is interesting in highlighting the impacts of different brushes on my lather. Maybe we should use the same soap for a month every month ...
