Razor: EJ DE86
Blade: Voskhod
Brush: EJ Best Badger
Soap: Proraso Green(May Madness - sweet victory!)
After: TN Dickinson WH with Aloe Vera

Left my shave until this morning, new Voskhod, and another terrific shave. Close, comfortable, no nicks.

Looking forward to finally trying my WSP Rustic Shaving soap next shave :)

- Gillette Tech 1989
- Gillette Super Blue Blade T-4 1973
- Proraso Pre-shave cream - White
- Arko Extreme Performance
- Pinaud Bay Rum + Tabac AF Balm

I was expecting this blade to be like the Thin Blade, dulled by the years, but it was as sharp as the day it left the factory. No Teflon, No Platinum, no fancy gliding stuff, just a carbon steel blade meant to wage war against stubbles. Give it respect or it will bite.

Catie's Bubbles, Semogue, Feather, Barberry Coast.

Oh that Havana scent... it's intoxicating. I'm beginning to regret putting them on the BST... If you want them, get them before I change my mind. Available here.

No photos today. There wasn't much to photograph with the Czech and Speake puck almost gone.

I won't lie - it was so nice to leave the Speick stick in the cupboard.

Preshave: PAA Ice soap and Proraso Red preshave cream
Razor: Standard
Blade: Personna Med Prep
Brush: Simpsons Commodore X2
Soap: PAA Otra
Post Shave: Gummy Balm and PAA Otra Cologne.
Two pass shave with a small clean up. It was nice to be able to use a different soap and this was first use of the product. Complex scent but very nice and paired well with its cologne. Strangely I had a little trouble getting the lather right and I don't think I did get it right. Needed more water. A hangover from May madness. A decent shave and nice to be using a different soap.

Have you tried Al Fin? How do they compare? Very similar? Should I just stop asking stupid questions and buy it??

Brush: The Duke 2 - Best
Soap: Shaver Heaven - Illusion
Strop: Kanoyama #30'000
Blade: Parker 567
Post: Thayers
Scent: PAA - Lime Ice Sage

Yet another flawless shave with each component working well. After noticing Charky often only does a two pass shave (WTG & ATG) I decided to give it a go. Maybe need to give it more of a chance but it was inferior today. Result is almost the same but not as close and skin feels a little abused. Must be more torque involved when going ATG with longer stubble. Not sure. Loving this blade and trying to decide if it's better than the 510, or the 567 is just more bling (scaled tang). My son chose the a/s. Great choice but then he couldn't have gone wrong since they're all great!!!

@Sxot and @Nonick the Otra is beautiful. It is now five hours since I put it on and I can still smell it. Quite a complex scent but the rosewood is prevalent to start with but not for long and you are left with a woody fougere , sandalwood scent for hours after. It is familiar but I can't put my finger on it. As far as the Alfin is concerned I have not had the pleasure yet but they are meant to be cousins. Its on my list now.

Tuesday Night Shave

Pre-Shave Musgo Spiced Citrus Oil Soap
Brush The Grooming Co Synthetic
Soap Mitchell Wool Fat
Razor Merkur 34C HD
Blade GSB
Post Shave Dickson's Original Witch Hazel & Natio Calming Aftershave Balm

Last eve of May Madness. My appreciation of da Fat is still strong. A wonderful soap with a wide range of tolerance for the amount of water added.

This will be in permanent rotation me thinks.
