Lately I am struggling to get super slick lather with the brush. I try & start with it completely dry & then slowly add water as I am loading but that doesn't seem to work?
The lather on the puck starts looking like it's got too much water but when I apply the brush to my face it's a bit dry.
Might try with a wetter brush & go from there next time.
On a more positive note, given the cooler weather my brushes are taking a little bit longer to try so it's a perfect excuse to start looking for more brushes!
I used to find harder pucks give me dry and thin lather. Until I discovered lately (thanks to @SpeedyPC for the SOC M's Method video), i start with a gravity drained brush and slowly swirl on the face of the soap, not fast enough to start the lathering process, but you can slowly see the excess water on the puck slowly turn milky white and I usually pour it away after a while. I find that doing it this way, I tend to load up a lot of soap (you will notice a crater on the face of the soap after this) Once I am sure there's enough soap, I'll start the quicker swirls to start the lathering process.
