@silver I'm lost what's the little wooden spoon for? I'm guessing is the amount water you need to create your lather that way you don't over use too much water.
Spot on! It's actually a tea leaves spoon (chasaji) I bought from Daiso. I find it too wide for my tea strainer and bought a thinner one. Now I use it to water my lather.

@silver you look like a bloody lost puppy who doesn't know how much water you need to create lather without a spoon :p:D, you don't need a spoon you need brains to tell how much water to create a lather

Umm, knowing you @alfredus, I'm thinking Zircon encrusted Titanium (w/ apologies to Frank Zappa) :p:D:p

Well the second part is certainly correct my friend ;) An old artisan had the first offering in years yesterday and I couldn't say no to it...

Only 1 shave done with this so far, but I didn't notice it at all while shaving
But it is not much wider than the scales are really,

Did you make this baby??? That's stellar work @Substance (y)

Razor ~ Schick Krona
Blade ~ Gillette Thin V-1 1975 @5
Cream ~ Taylor of Old Bond Street - Coconut
Aftershave ~ Pinaud Clubman Virgin Island Bay Rum
Balm ~ Tabac

I could get a sixth shave out of it but decided to stop at 5, which is quite respectable for a carbon steel blade. I did a classic 3 pass shave + an extra ATG and touch up for a "Definitively Fine Shave" :D Very comfortable, no irritation, good feedback of both alum bloc and aftershave. This first blade makes me glad that I acquired a good amount of them.

Razor: Weber Polished Head on Bulldog Handle
Blade: Vintage Schick Super Platinum (3)
Brush: Vintage butterscotch Simpson 'The Duke'
Soap/Cream: Mike's Natural Shaving Soap - Barbershop
Aftershave: Captain's Choice - Cat 'o' Nine Tails

Grey, wet, dreary Canberra morning this winter solstice - so a morning to 'feel the burn' !

Gillette Slim
Feather Blade
Epsilon 2 Band Badger
B&M Le Petit Chypre

As unusual as it is to say with badger brushes, I really do think this brush has finally broken in.

Nice big brush with some solid scrub to it. Only thing I'm tempted to do is get a new handle for it.

It was a chilly 18 degrees this morning so I decided to forgo shaving with a new blade in exchange for an extended hour shower.
I don't know how you southerners cope at this time of year. I nearly had to wear a flanno this morning.

Preshave: Musgo Real Glyce soap and Proraso Sandalwood preshave cream
Razor: Progress (1.5)
Blade: Personna Med Prep
Brush: Shavemac 177
Soap: TOBS Sandalwood
Post Shave: Dickinsons Witch Hazel and TOBS Sandalwood AS
Two pass shave with a clean up for a near BBS result. The TOBS Sandalwood soap is a good performer and the scent fills the bathroom. The AS splash lasts for up to four hours.

I remember moving to the south from Brisbane - it was so beautiful being able to wear a jacket again :D

Now that looks like a good start to the day.

Face Wash : Shower
Pre-Shave : Proraso White Pre-shave
Brush : Shavemac custom
Soap : Haslinger Coconut
Razor : Suminigashi Kamisori by Gergely Horvath, Budapest
After Shave : Alum, Top Seven Balm, Hanae Mori HiM

Started off with a brilliant lather today - the Haslinger line of soaps is very cheap (Gifts & Care) but let down at times by the fragrances they use. The lather however has the most amazing glide, absolutely ideal for straight/Kamisori shaves. The sumigashi Kamisori shaves as well as it looks - I had a pretty comfortable but very close shave. Finished up as usual, and ran with Hanae Mori as the fragrance for today.

A really nice shave and a great start to another day.

Love the composition of the picture @Draco Noir (y)

Pre-Shave : Taylor of Old Bond Street pre-shave gel
Brush : Stirling 22mm synth
Soap : RazoRock Sandalwood
Razor : Kamisori (12)
After Shave : Alum, Mrysol Blue

Twelfth shave with the Kamisori. I was planning on a 2 pass shave but once I had completed my WTG and XTG pass I really wanted to prolong the shave so I did an ATG pass as well. The only issue I'm having ATM is I'm enjoying my shave so much I really don't want to put the Kami down!
