Tastes like medicine to me
I've told you before, Count Cryogen - add spring water or a little ice; not menthol crystals and liquid nitrogen

Tastes like medicine to me
Ahh - the sweet smoky peat of Islay.
Tastes like medicine to me
Which of those is your favourite Mark?
Brush: Shavemac 24mm 2 Band Custom
Soap: MdC Fougere
Razor: iKON Tech on OSS handle
Blade: PSI (1)
Post: Alum, Myrsol Plastic Shave
First time out with the Tech. This razor has a crazy amount of blade exposure. It's basically one step up from a Devette. The shave was close, although not as close as I've been getting with the R41. The R41 gives a DFS after one pass. Not so with the Tech, although this was the first time I've used it so there's a lot to learn. It was also less comfortable. There was a bit of pulling and not very much glide. Many people consider this to be more aggressive than the R41 (which for me was love at first sight) so I will persevere.
Pre: Occam's Crushed Lime Pre Shave Soap
Brush: CH1
Razor//Blade: Merkur Progress, 3.5, Feather Blade
Cream: Castle Forbes Lime Essential Oil Shaving Cream
Post shave: Castle Forbes Lime Essential Oil Aftershave Balm
Castle Forbes Lime because I felt like it, very unseasonal really but always an absolute pleasure to lather and shave with. Superb cushion & glide, an excellent post shave feel and a scent that is most singularly Castle Forbes. Post shave was a treat with their superb balm.
Making up for Saturdays rush in the best way I could, worth every minute of it. A wonderful Sunday early morning shave!
Pre-Shave: Cypriotian Olive/Argan Oil soap, cold water
Razor: BBS-1 UFO Titan L
Blade: Voskhod (2)
Brush: Nathan Clark Envy White
Lather: Mike's Hungarian Laveneder
Post-shave: Alum, Barrister & Man Kyovu Original, South Australian Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Beautiful Sunday shave - it is warn and the sun is out.
I definitely prefer the razor with its original handle, James has crafted it somehow, that they just fit better together. The lather was beautiful (picture here) - flying around and dripping all over the place - happy days
From the horse's mouthYou know what it's all about a dram(s) of the Islay always hits the spot in the middle of winter.
Come off it eggs.. you have just put the boot into the region that is renowned for some of the finest single malts in the world
Blended atrocities may taste like medicine, or even some of the suspiciously cheap single malts of dubious provenance. A decent Islay single, and there are more than a dozen or so that I personally love for their wonderful rich characteristics are something to be savoured, respected and enjoyed and are worlds away from tasting like medicine. I will concede that they have a highly medicinal effect though, point notwithstanding.
