First time using the soap which scent is sandlewood smoke and was kindly lent to me by @borked.

Soap has a nice scent with the smoke scent coming at the end of the shave for me.

Soap works well. Will need a couple more shaves with it to determine how good it is.

Counts as my Christmas shave as I won't have time to shave tomorrow.
Wonderful lather from the Wickhams, scent is lovely. Everything else are proven performers for me. Hope you all have a very Merry Christmas.

OK, that was weird.

Busy morning and the day got away from me. Late afternoon shower and shave before heading out to a Christmas Eve service in a few minutes. When I went into the shower it was hot so I wanted something summery for the shave and reached for the Saponificio Varesino. When I came out of the bathroom it was raining, blustery and cold - I wasn't in the shower for THAT long!

BRUSH: Thater 2 band finest 25 mm 4292/5
SOAP: Xpec

Did 3 pass shave followed by alum and witch hazel. Had to for go aftershave as just before bed and will upset the wife's hay fever. Used Nivea Sensitive A/S balm instead.

A few of my faves this morning. What you can't see in this nativity scene is the LesLat stone that put such a wonderful edge on this carbon Henckels... yes CARBON!!!...not that common but well worth chasing down. This soap. Oh this soap. Bugger me @SydBJW it is perfect for straight shaves. Thank you brother (y) And this brush. First thing I've seen the yanks do right. Oh yes and @Mark1966 (and of course @Psmith ) you are insane for having let it go.

Simple set up for a quick but enjoyable shave this morning. The Cognac and Cuban Cigars really is one of my favourite combinations and the Simpson AS2 is a beautiful brush used for the first time on this day last year.

No shaving gear in my Christmas goodies this year - I wonder why?

Art of Shaving Sandalwood soap and pre shave oil from my dear Sister. Stirling splash was paid for by me but it with 5 others were lovingly carried across the US and the Pacific to be delivered to me yesterday. Blade is a 5/8 lone wolf, brush is a Wee Scot.

Pushed a little too hard today. Really need to learn my lesson and not skip the WTG pass. Went with 2 passes, XTG, ATG. Might have pushed the feather a bit far for a ATG pass too.
