Couple days growth with no worries. Changed up up shave direction in the trouble areas, 2nd use of the astra. Couple small weepers from ingrowns, but far more comfortable shave.

Mastro Livi Mini, 6/8 Full Hollow, Round Point, Bois de Rose​

Mastro Livi Mini Razor at last! This type of razor was missing from my collection and I thought a Mastro Livi collection would not be complete without one of his Mini Razors. Mastro Livi conceived this type of razor in 2004 and it is mainly meant for beard, mustache and sideburns trimming as well as for women's hair removal. It is also great for those having small hands or a small face, however I find it can be used by anyone. Moreover, it certainly is a great travel razor. To this mini razor I paired a Mastro Livi Eco-silvertip synthetic brush as both have bois de rose handles. It was also the occasion to use - after a long time - the marvelous Klar Kabinett shaving soap, one of my favorite soaps and it is really too bad they quit production. I still have a small chunk of it and I use for special occasions - just like P.160 soap - and today certainly was a special day because I shaved, for the first time, with a Mastro Livi Mini Razor.​

First try of the Gem Clogpruf. A nice close shave with no drama. Perhaps not as clean as the Bullet tip but I can't remember how many shaves I have on this blade, quite a few. Great shave anyway and no clogs!
I gave it the full SAA again this morning, so smelling good and feeling fine.
Off for a sail on Jervis Bay, although there's not much wind.

A gorgeous sunny Autumn morning in Sydney - and a public holiday to boot - a "barbershop" type of morning

Lovely lemon fresh scent from the Busta's Blend. Plenty of lather, but not quite as creamy or protective as some.

The Gillette President is a heavy, rhodium-handled razor that is fairly mild. I use a tip I picked up from an old Aristocrat advertisement - loosen the TTO knob 1/4 of a turn to allow a more "aggressive" shave. Before "adjustables" this was a crude method of changing blade angle/exposure - and it works! Wonderful three-pass shave for a close and smooth finish with no irritation.

Touch of Balm and a generous splash of the classic Pinaud Clubman and I'm set for the day.

I didn't have much sleep tonight and have a bit of a soar throat - and the shave reflected this negative feeling. It was not a horrible shave, but somehow it felt uncomfortable and not as smooth as I would have expected with this setup. Even the wonderful Mike's lather (picture here) couldn't save the day...
