Four day growth was effortlessly removed by the Super Silver blade. This is right up there amongst my top shelf vintage blades - so smooth and so sharp.
Was at DFS at two passes, and as near as damnit BBS after the third pass.
Wonderful shave, finished with a generous splash of the invigorating Bayolea.
 
It's been awhile since I have posted. I haven't forgotten shaves. Just haven't been posting them cause I've been so so busy. But last night I had such a beautiful shave! Another from the BST which was an absolute beautiful combo. Lavender isn't my thing but this was still such a treat to use! I'm way too excited for my ATT M2 head and base plate to come in! Get ready for a pic of that when I get it.

Though I've looked forward to my trials with the various base plates of my new Rockwell 6s, today I used the FaTip Gold razor. Along with the Gillette Slim Adjustable, it remains a top favorite. It again proved its worth with another fine shave. The Skin Bracer certainly lived up to its name, its refreshing blast lasting for nearly an hour.

Sorry to rain on the Petrichor fanboy parade guys, but I'm not a fan of this scent. The soap is excellent, usual great B&M creamy lather. But the scent is not what I imagined it would be like. It is like "Sherlock" , "Summer Storm" and "Diamond", which to my nose have the scent of damp, musty dirt. The sense of smell is obviously extremely potent at triggering memories and I guess I must have spent too many unpleasant times crawling under damp and musty houses while doing renovations - because thats what this reminds me of!! Which is fine - but I don't necessarily want to rub my face in it and shave :dead:

I thought this would be the scent of "thunderstorm" which as a young boy in Sydney in summer usually meant a "southerly buster' coming through after a baking hot couple of days and a thunderstorm soaking the hot concrete and bitumen of the streets. The resulting scent was a heady mix of ozone from the lightning and the steam rising from the baked backyard. Thats "my" Petrichor - I guess everyone has their own version o_O

Keep an eye on the BST soon if you're interested in trying it :whistle:​

The best shave ever. The best shave ever. The best shave ever. Wow. My first use of the ATT M2 and I'm just absolutely blown away. Given to me by @cranky all I can say is it feels close to the efficiency of my r41. With the comfort of a 34c or DE89. Just insane. And thank you @todras for the Fine soap and aftershave.

Soap: Proraso Green

Blade: Gillette 7 O'Clock Super Stainless Green (3)
Lotion: Alum / Mennen Skin Bracer

I used the Omega Synthetic brush with Proraso soap. The brush is relatively stiff, with a firm backbone, and while it readily loads it is not particularly efficient in lathering. Application must be done as it would with a paint-brush. This has become tiresome, and I will be looking for a new brush that will perform well with soap.

Nevertheless, it was a DFS with the Rockwell 6s. It is a fine razor with a starkly industrial appearance.
