Razor: Schick G Type Injector with butterscotch handle
Blade: Schick Twin Injector NOS (2)
Soap: TOBS Sandalwood Cream
Brush: 20mm Lincoln Badger with Sheoak handle (first use)
Method: 3 Pass (neck pick ups) using buffing technique to a BBS.
Post: Alum & Proraso Red AS & Crabtree & Evelyn Indian Sandalwood EdC

Thoughts:
- The brush was a gift from a wood turner who was making his first shaving brush. The 20mm Chinese badger knot is very floppy so works best as a bowl lather beast. I got an excellent lather quite quickly with the TOBS - not that the venerable cream is ever difficult to get going. Lincoln did a wonderful job and the wood handle is a great design and grippy. The knot was pretty funky so I hand lathered it with Malizia shampoo then Razorock Tuscan Oud around 7 times before my shower.
- The G Type was just as good the second time around! It's a far more relaxing razor than the R41 and General who demand much more respect with their aggressiveness. It was perfect for a very dark and rainy first day of the school holidays. The injector blade was just as excellent on its second use. I quite like these twins so will need to hunt for more.

So do you think the Chubby 2 would be better? I was looking at the Chubby 3 and it does look a massive brush.
I like the handle size of the Chubby 3 and the knot is extremely dense. It is by far my biggest brush. I have a few smaller 20-22mm knots which are great for the smaller soap tins and for travel. Maybe the CH 3 is just not fully broken in and needs a few more lathers. It is certainly a massive brush that barely fits in some soap containers. Once its fully loaded (takes a lot of soap) I usually bowl lather which gives a bit more space to build a lather.

Just think how collectable that bottle now is - give it a few months and you can call it 'unobtanium' and whack it up on Ebay for $90 USD with the original packaging.

Alcohol destroys the glue and mutilates just about every adhesive paper label in the game, I do not know of a paper label that will stand up to it particularly over a month or so worth of use.

'Datapol' brand synthetic/plastic labels are what Stirling, myself and many others use - available here in Australia various stock sizes and volume packs (google). Most/all printers can use Datapol stock to print your colour labels, they come in peel off A4 sheets. They do come at a price, but are full colour printable, waterproof and have an excellent adhesive on smooth glass and even frosted that resists alcohol and water excellently.

Hope this is of some help :)
Sorry for the confusion - it was actually the soap label which is peeling. The aftershave label seems OK, but I guess is less likely to be wet than the soap container.

Late afternoon shave

Razor: Gillette Slim Adjustable (5)
Blade(s): Gillette 7 o'clock yellow (3)
Brush: Simpsons Super Chubby 2
Soap/Cream: SS "Scramble!"
Post: Dickinsons With Hazel

Second time with Scramble .. getting used to the scent but it reminds me of something from my youth I would rather forget .. funny about some scents! Once again loading is short to get a full three pass (or more) shave. For the third pass I put more water into the bowl and it was still lathering up nicely. In fact I felt bad I was wasting it all when I finished up. The 7 o'clocks on the third day really required some pressure to get a close enough shave and I felt even then that it wasn't very close. Heard some good things about Dickinsons on B&B and thought for $6.00 from the local priceline it was worth a try.

Oh, you're at Franklin?
Stayed at a hotel there on a trip and had awesome yum cha nearby!!

- Rockwell 6S #3 w/Indian Permasharp
- RR Bruce synth
- SV Felce Aromatica
- Anherb ASB

Oh boy! What a luscious lather from the SV soap! SV is an absolutely wonderful soap and I still can't believe it's non-tallow. None of my other veggie soaps ever perform like this.
It's really a mind blowing soap and is perfect in ever single way (apart from the shape, I would prefer it was narrow and taller so it would fit into a container easily).

Awesome shave today, skin is like glass and very supple...which is another great aspect of SV soaps.

The Dolomiti is the best scent but performance is the same with all 3 of my SV soaps.

Unfortunately none of your pictures is visible for me @Greenpike :(

Wow. So it's unobtanium soap you have now ;)

The waterproof Datapol synthetic labels sound like just the ticket to address this. There are other plastic labels around but with vastly different specifications. If the aftershave labels are paper then the issue I mentioned will eventually rear it's head with people who splash the stuff around a little more than others.

Oh. Damn. I was trying Google Photos out so it looks like they only work for me. I will endeavour to repost after my dinner date.

Aha! The link Google gives you is to the page not the photo. Right-click on the photo and choose "copy image location". You know you have the right thing when you can see the actual file name ending in .jpg or .png or some such at the end of the path. I got caught previously and spent some time wondering what the hell was going on.

This was all so much easier before Google started their "social" nonsense... (mumble, mumble, damn kids, get off ma lawn, etc)

Brush: Vie-Long, Horse/Badger
Soap: Katie's Bubbles, Le Piment de Le vie
Razor: Ever Ready, Streamline
Blade: Gem SS
Post: Dr Jon's, Aphrodite. Nivea Sensitive

I liked the scent of the Katie's and the lather was good for a vegan soap, though it took me some time to get it there. However, I did feel I was getting a slight reaction to something in the soap, first time that's happened.

I was able to scrape that soap off quickly and efficiently with the wonderful Streamline, twice, the reaction wasn't that bad.

Dr Jon's is a good scent but really I could do without menthol in my aftershave. I know it's the wrong season but any season.

Have a great Sunday

Any man will be delighted to receive this Ever-Ready Streamline Razor set!

Razor: Gillette Toggle (5, 3, 3)
Blade(s): Polsilver Super Iridium (1)
Brush: Simpsons Super Chubby 2
Soap/Cream: B&M Soapmakers of Awesometown
Post: Dickinsons With Hazel

First shave with the toggle and couldn't be happier. Popped in a new Polsilver and set to "5" (same as I use now for the Slim). Lathered up nicely with SOA and went to work. After the first pass I realised the toggle is more aggressive than the slim so popped back to "3" for the last two passes. Damage was already done though. Even with the aggressive setting leaving its trail of desctruction, I liked the heft of the razor (seems heavier than the slim) and the feedback and feel of it. Although the heads of the razors differ in height, either I adapted quickly or there is not much difference in shaving angle.

Nope, aftershave labels are vinyl. I'll get there with the soap labels - thanks for the advice @todras
