Brush: - Semogue SOC 2 Band Badger in Cherry Wood 24/53mm
Cream/Soap: - Stirling Island Man 5x
Razor: - Colonial General Aluminum Head with the iKon Bulldog Handle
Blade: - Feather Professional #2
Post: - Thayers Witch Hazel 'Lavender' / Bulldog Original Aftershave Balm

I had decided to buy the Colonial General (al) head a couple of weeks ago, which is a big deal since I am always hesitant to pull the trigger.
But I was crushed to find out they aren't available anymore.
And, I'd prefer a stainless one over the out-going brass.
*sigh*
Do you know anyone that has bought the brass one. I like the idea of the brass one.

I like the idea of brass... But, since I'd be pairing it with a Stainless handle, I'd prefer Stainless.
So, I decided to wait.

Razor: Old Feather Professional SS
Blade: Feather pro (2)
Soap: The Warden by squadron soap
Brush: silver tip badger by whipped dog

It's been a long weekend :( lotsa house work and grown up responsabilities to uphold.
This mornings shave I couldn't focus as yesterday I had to call a friend of 20 years out on something I find morally reprehensible and it wasn't received well, however I'm glad I did it.
shave went well, close and clean.
Got a haircut over the weekend too which now looking at the weather I may regret..

Aftershave Splash: Australian Private Reserve (APR) Un côtelette de porc splash

Well, my first ever shave with an injector. It is very light and the shave was very easy - I could get used to this I think ...

Preshave: Shower
Soap: Whispers From The Woods
Brush: Shavemac
Razor: Boker 6/8
Post Shave: Jojoba, essential oil mix

Honed the Boker last night. I haven't heard Bokers mentioned a lot in the shave community and I wonder if they are underrated. This was a pleasure to hone. Very consistent edge and finishing nicely. Performance to match edge appearance. I don't think this one will make it to it's next allotted turn in the rotation. That was just a fun shave. :)

Shower
Fatip Grande Nickel with Lord Racer blade (1)
Palmolive "Lather Shave" Cream
Omega 48
Re-lather, warm rinse, Witch Hazel, Bulldog ASB

2 day growth, not a lot of time and a 3 pass BBS. Couple of weepers but no biggie - understandable given the rush. I was generous with the amount of product and water and it paid off with my big boar doing a fantastic job as always...

Davy Jones Shave

Razor: Colonial General with Windrose handle
Blade: Feather Pro (1)
Soap: Beaver Woodright "Black Ship Grooming" Davy Jones (first use)
Brush: K Shave Worx Gamechanger
Post: Alum + Davy Jones AS (first use) + Mont Blanc Individuel EdT

Thoughts...
- The soap lathers easily and has good cushion, glide and slickness but it's yet another very lightly scented job. I am fighting a cold so maybe my sense of smell is badly compromised but this would be a 1 for mine in the tub and on the face. It's "vaguely sweet" and thus only worth the 40% discount I got from Stray Whisker. It helped me get to a BBS with 3 passes plus I only had one nick due to not shaving with the CG for a week and forgetting the sweet spot.
- The AS is nicely mentholated and the notes start to come out, thankfully. It's subtle but you get the vanilla and woody notes. I'm not getting too much bourbon so far. Face feel is good but not quite as top notch as an APR AS. It pairs well with Individuel.
- I'll give this a few goes but far from blown away by this combo. The AS tops the soap.

Wow, seriously wow. This little injector thing can do anything! It shaves at any angle, anywhere and with no nicks or cuts. Even shaved South to North under my nose (i.e. up towards my nose from my lips) with no problems - I normally go across the grain there with a DE.

If anybody has 10 lifetimes of injector blades to trade for the same number of DE blades I might be interested - this is 'no brainer' shaving at its best.
