You are as welcome to share his opinion and it's invalidity as he is to hold it...

Seriously though, I regret even mentioning the ''tier'' of the soap now knowing instinctively the reaction it would receive, it's horses for courses in my book and one man's top tier is another mid and visa versa. I almost threw in a B&M ''tier'' comparison too and I am really glad now I didn't.

It's all good and I respect both of your opinions :)
Everyone has different tastes and preferences. If we didn't we would all use the same stuff every day and this place would be very boring.

Far out - anybody would think there were a bunch of gentlemen around here.

Where is the abuse?
Where is the name calling?
Where is the questioning of shaving experience?
Where are the accusations around parentage and legitimacy?

You just CANNOT get a worthwhile argument around this place it seems. I might have to go YKW to find some entertaining threads, maybe I will question whether the soap needs to be loaded clockwise or anti-clockwise and suggest that here Down Under it needs to be done anti-clockwise because of the Coriolis effect. That should get some vitriol flowing!

[Seriously - love you guys and the Aussie way of disagreeing and getting along! (y)(y)(y)(y)]

Probably would have gotten that if B&M had been placed in mid-tier. Some fanbois may have made an appearance :D

Pre-Shave: Cypriotian Olive/Argan Oil soap, cold water
Razor: Weper PH UFO Titan L
Blade: Voskhod (1)
Brush: Nathan Clark Envy White
Lather: Stirling Bay Rum
Post-shave: Alum, Barrister & Man Kyovu Original, South Australian Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil

So funny, that today of all days I used some Stirling - I think the wonderful lather documented in this picture shows, how right I am and that every one who doesn't agree with me is just a bloody Pork Chop :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

The sad news is though, that the shave itself was rather mediocre - had a really bad nick under my nose (yes I had to get out the styptic) and some razor burn afterwards... it was just a rushed shave...

The good news is however that I finally have some Pork Chops for dinner tonight :D :D :D :D :D

I like it that the community here can hold different opinions and like different things, there really is no point getting yourself into a lather over shaving soap like some bloody pork chop!

Pre:
Valobra Glycerlanolina soap, Myrsol Antesol and Emulsion
Brush: P&C LE Platypus 2017
Cream: Occams
Razor: Wilkinson Sword Sticky
Blade: Vintage Wilkinson Sword French Brown (8)
Post: Myrsol Antesol and Emulsion
Splash: Myrsol Plastic Shave

If I had to shave in a hurry and needed fast, quality suds, I'd struggle to find a product to match Occams.
Just so easy to quickly get high quality lather. Three passes for a comfortable three pass DFS+.
The Plastic Fantastic splash is nearly empty - just as well my replacement bot just rocked up :sneaky:.

Razor: Vintage Personna Micrometric
Blade: Vintage Personna [England] blade (10)
Brush: Vintage Butterscotch Simpson 'H2' boar
Soap/Cream: Wickhams Soap Co, 1912 Shaving Soap - Classic 24
Aftershave: APR Choix Alfredus Aftershave

Oh Lord it's hard to be humble
When your shaves perfect in every way.
I can't wait
To shave every morning.
Cause the shaves get better each day.

To know that baby smooth feeling.
I've had a hell of a shave.
Oh Lord It's hard to be humble,
But I'm doing the best that I can.

(with apologies to Mac Davis)
@Mark1966 - you can't get away with that - we want to hear the audio file with you belting out the tune .

Musgo Glyce
klenzo b985 romera
Gillette Fatboy
Polsilver
Eufros Cítricos
Eufros Cítricos Aftershave Balm
Australian Private Reserve Bois de santal de verviene
Australian Private Reserve Fête au citron EDP

A beautiful citrus start to the morning with Manuels soap delivering on all fronts, two very enjoyable passes and a nice cold drenching. A liberal application of Cítricos aftershave balm then on with a generous application of Bois de santal de verviene and some Fête au citron to endure through the day.

Have a smashing day you chaps :pompous:

Pre: Nil
Brush: Paladin, 26mm lotus ebony.
Soap: AoS Sandalwood
Strop: DIY Roo
Blade: Tanifuji 6/8 Full Square (T.J. Theodrop Barbers Banded)
Post: Austrlian Private Reserve - Coco Santal

On man this razor is outstanding! I didn't load enough and ended up with the lather stretched too far. Made no difference, effortless BBS again topped with a sensational face feel from the APR. The high quality sandalwood used here really shows and the scent just lasts. The Paladin, when dry, is the roughest brush I own (I have 5 high end bushes) but when wet, those hooked tips turn to gel and oh my oh my. I am guessing they have been treated but I don't care, it is sensational. My other brushes are excellent too, and I do enjoy using them as much but when I come back to the Paladin I let out a little sigh. I am always very glad I did.
