Razor: Rockwell 6S (4)
Blade: Rockwell
Soap: Wolfpac Ice
Post: Shower / Alum + Palmers Olive Moisturiser

A wonderful BBS shave with what really is a neglected razor on my part. Super smooth, audible shave with little irritation and the odd nick from me being lazy  When you have such a pleasant experience you almost wish you could shave multiple times a day it felt that good  I didn't even mind the blade as it matched the razor setting to a tee! Happy shaves and good night

A match made in rose heaven

Very easily, most basically Colonia Intensa has "wood, leather and spice (ginger/cardamom)" at the heart of the design (I love the ginger/cardamom notes with the wood notes) and it is done formidably giving the experience a much more contemporary feel, and substantive endurance to the overall tone of the fragrance - the citrus of course only slightly but the transition to the dry-down is just beautiful, the cardamom in the composition is superb. It is one of my summer signatures and it is very much a distant cousin of Colonia aside from the AdP accord (the exquisite bergamot & orange accord for which they are famous) which you will recognise from the original. It is a spring and summer day fragrance, although it lends itself so well to a balmy summer night.

Take all this in light of my obsession and love of the colonias though - if you hesitate with the original, it follows you may (like others) not like this, but I do :)

I have the perfect thing to feed your ADP Colonia love, take it everywhere you go in style...

Brush: Semogue 620
Soap: APR, Lixiviant
Razor: PAA, Starling
Blade: Treet
Post: Lixiviant

First use of the Starling. The blue plate is very mild, probably something like a 'push button', the angle was not as steep as I was expecting and very little audio feedback so it took a while to dial it in. Once I got it right it was a very smooth shave, balance felt fine with the handle set right at the rear. Took a full 3 passes to achieve a satisfactory finish but no weepers and a pleasant experience. I think the yellow, more aggressive, plate will be more my thing so I will use that next. If the blue was the only plate I would have been disappointed but there is potential for improvement on the next run.

How do you like the PAA 9 scent @beerhog , would you say it is an industrial kind of scent or more citrusy?
im not much good at describing scents but It's a dirty manly kind of scent but with something slightly sweet holding it together.there are similarities to midnight stag but nowhere near as dirty as it.i like it though.

Pre-shave:- Cold Water straight from the tap
Brush:- Maseto 2 Band Finest Badger Beehive 30/55mm knot
Soap/Cream:- Mitchell's Wool Fat 10x
Razor:- GEM Micromatic Bullet Tip
Blade:- GEM Personna SS PTFE Coated #10 (the end of the finish line into the blade bank)
Post-shave:- Thayers Witch Hazel / Lucky Tiger Aftershave & Face Tonic
Fragrance:- Dolce&Gabbana Pour Homme

Today is my last shave with the Bullet Tip looking forward to used the Clog-Pruf, as for the GEM blade the tenth shave wasn't too bad not as smooth and still get a great shave. So the maximum shaves per blade with the Bullet Tip will be set to #8 is when I replace the blade no more. The Maseto 30mm Beehive handle feels very comfortable in my hand when I face lather with the FAT!!, I'm thinking about getting another 30mm Beehive in Ivory colour.... well see.

Some neglected software on show today. I still love Malizia gear but I never seem to break it out anymore. Proper Italian stuff (and very affordable at Charlie's in Morley for the Perth crew). The soap is a frankensoap of several samples that have been sitting unloved in the bottom of this matcha bowl for many months. At least 4. Lovely gourmond combo that kept its scent despite being open to the air. We can get precious about soap as a community.

Nice one @Greenpike - the Charlie's tip you gave me last year was a beauty.

Pre-shave:- PAA Cube
Brush:- TurnNShave
Soap:- Squadron Red Lead
Razor:- PAA Starling SE 'A' plate
Blade:- GEM Personna SS PTFE
Post-shave:- Stirling Spice Balm

First shave on the blue plate and boy is it MILD, very smooth, but mild. 3 passes for a mostly BBS(ish) shave with pretty much zero irritation. The angle was very easy to find and the shave was really comfortable. I'm enjoying this razor so far. The cube pre shave soap really boosted the slickness, volume of lather and post shave feel of the soap. It's a bit odd though because while the menthol is definitely there (you can smell it) I couldn't really detect any cooling from it. My suggestion would be if you're going to buy the cube get the non-menthol version.

Indeed, I found the blue plate to be very mild but smooth. Judging by your experience if seems the yellow will be the better plate. I too bought a cube, non mentholated as I don't enjoy menthol, I've yet to try it but it sounds good.
