Razor: Merkur 34C HD
Blade: Astra Platinum
Brush: Maggards tuxedo synthetic
Soap: Mike's Natural Soap Peppermint & Rosemary
Post: Australian Private Reserve Lightning Ridge splash
Fragrance: YSL Y Pour Homme EDT

Pre: Valobra Glycerlanolina soap, Castle Forbes pre-shave gel
Brush: DR Harris H3 Best Badger
Soap: Barrister and Mann Seville
Razor: UFO Tornado / Colonial General
Blade: Kamisori (1)
Post: Myrsol Emulsion
EdT: Penhaligon's Castile

Flew home, and straight back into Joyce, who is no longer a tropical cyclone but now a massive rain-bearing depression.
So, wet as a shag again. Nothing a good shave couldn't fix. The H3 brush is a favourite of mine - a 30mm knot of beautifully soft badger with just enough backbone for my tastes. The Seville was whipped into voluminous quantities of lovely lather, setting the scene for a great welcome-home shave.
First time out for the Kamisori SE blade in the General. I found it to have a slightly rougher blade feel than the Feather Pro, but it still did a decent job. 3 Passes and a few buffs for nearly BBS - found a wee patch not quite as smooth on my jawline when applying the Emulsion post-shave. Finishing with the refreshing and elegant Castile scent.

Shave of the last 2 days.

Razor: Gillette Tech Ball End, EJ handle
Blade: Polsilver SI (2)
Brush: Semogue SOC Badger
Soap: Declaration Grooming - Cuir et Épices
Post: Alum, Witch Hazel, Sebamed

For the past 3 weeks I’ve been bearded and living vicariously through everyone else's SOTDs, but as of yesterday my summer beard is no more.
I both enjoyed not bothering to shave, but also missed my zen time running a razor across my face. It does feel good to be clean shaven again and looking a bit sharper.

I'm in love with the Cuir et Épices fantastic leathery scent, this puck is going to have to last me through my sabbatical. Next year I'm going to stockpile the stuff though!

Razor: Vintage Wilkinson Sword 'Sticky'
Blade: Vintage Wilkinson Sword Premium Chromium blade (7)
Brush: Tony Forsyth PC LE Platypus shaving brush
Soap/Cream: Australian Private Reserve (APR) Lightning Ridge shaving soap
Aftershave: Australian Private Reserve (APR) Lightning Ridge aftershave splash
Cologne: Australian Private Reserve (APR) Lightning Ridge EDP

My daughter is having three wisdom teeth extracted this morning, I'm having a wad of cash extracted. I don't even get a general and prescription pain killers!

Great shave though to start the day, loving the Lightnight Ridge in summer, well done @todras and @Sxot (y)

Soap: Pb Grapefruit (Menthol)
Brush: 26mm TF HMW
Razor: Friodur Henckels 11V Hollowed Wedge
Post: Jojoba Oil
First shave with the Grapefruit. Very cool creamy nice. Really need to shave with this soap a few times to get the hang of it as it's different to my other soaps but I think it did well given I was considering not shaving due to some irritation from yesterday's introduction to Voskhod blades (though the irritation was more likely to do with the alum). The Grapefruit did well without any cure time which I think is going to help.
For having said I don't like Menthol, now I've got three Pb Menthol soaps. So tastes can change.:)

Soap: B&M First Snow
Brush: Yaqi 26mm Synthetic Space
Razor: Paradigm SS
Blade: Timor (4)
A/S: APR Suitably Attired Summer
Then Versace Eau Fraiche for more freshness.

Very much a BBS shave with a few neck sweepers as I didn't get the angle right and was ploughing on through the second pass. Silly me especially when learning a new razor
Blade choice is probably too aggressive with the Paradigm SS as a very efficient shaver and agressive in my books. Not too aggressive and around the Blacklands Blackbird level.
Like it alot but still in two minds if I'll keep it.

G'day @todras - how would you compare and contrast the ADP Colonia vs the Colonia Intensa?

how would you compare and contrast the ADP Colonia vs the Colonia Intensa?

Very easily, most basically Colonia Intensa has "wood, leather and spice (ginger/cardamom)" at the heart of the design (I love the ginger/cardamom notes with the wood notes) and it is done formidably giving the experience a much more contemporary feel, and substantive endurance to the overall tone of the fragrance - the citrus of course only slightly but the transition to the dry-down is just beautiful, the cardamom in the composition is superb. It is one of my summer signatures and it is very much a distant cousin of Colonia aside from the AdP accord (the exquisite bergamot & orange accord for which they are famous) which you will recognise from the original. It is a spring and summer day fragrance, although it lends itself so well to a balmy summer night.

Take all this in light of my obsession and love of the colonias though - if you hesitate with the original, it follows you may (like others) not like this, but I do :)

Pre: PAA Cube, mentholated
Soap: SC Courage
Post: SC Courage Balm
Brush: WW 25mm Black Wolf Fan
Razor: PAA Starling SE
Blade: Personna GEM PTFE

First shave with the Starling, went straight for the more aggressive 'Beta' plate. The razor felt very smooth (although on the scalp most do), didn't seem that efficient on the first pass, but after 2 passes and a bit of touch ups I was pretty much BBS. I did mess up a couple of times on the left side of my head and put the blade straight onto the skin resulting in a couple of very minor scratches (not really cuts, they didn't bleed at all, just red lines) and I also scratched up the back of my neck a bit, but this may have actually been the corner of the base plate, not the blade. I've given myself similar 'injuries' with my clog pruf so that's user error.

I'll shave my face with the blue plate tomorrow.

The Starling sounds promising. I look forward to hearing how the blue plate goes. I will be trying out mine tomorrow. I see you bought the cube, how did you find it?

Cool man, let us know how you go with the Starling! I think I like the cube, it feels very slick on its own and I think it helped with post-shave (although SC is already a really good soap so a bit hard to tell, I wanna try it with proraso or something to really see how much it adds). I kinda wish I hadn't got the menthol one though, the smell is a bit overpowering.
