Yep in fact I used it as recently as Friday, so it's definitely not the lanolin.
Please post me a photo of the new formula on the back so I can compare the old tallow base formula in my den. Because I haven’t tried the new formula version yet.

Sunday noon (Athens, GR):

Barbaros TR-2 & Astra Superior Platinum (#1)
APShave Co. 28mm SilkSmoke Butterscotch Swirl

Merkur 42c + Astra green

AP Reserve soap, splash & EdP Frenchurch

Really early shave, no light for a picture.... but it does not mean it wasn't great, because it was!. I have to keep using Frenchurch more often as winter will soon came to an end, an Florian and others first, and then fresca, coolabah etc will start soon to populate my SOTD's

Soap: Dr Harris Shaving Cream - Sandalwood
Brush: Zenith Boar
Razor: Timeless Bronze (compliments of @Razor Burn )
Blade: Gillette Stainless - Red (2)
Post: Jojoba Oil
Another fine shave with the Timeless, almost makes it too easy. Gillette Stainless did a good job but not the smoothest blade. @Greenpike , what razors do you use this blade in? @LukehGee 's new Mondial inspired me to break the new Zenith out of it's packaging to stave off buying another big boar (for a while anyway:)). Love the big boars.

Yet another great shave which was comfortable AF! I also happened to stumble across a method to help get a close shave on my neck just next to my jugular where there is hollow. I've used this for several shaves now with great results. Have tried to convey how this works in words, but nothing sounds right. Please bear with me....

Kinda use the tip of one side of the blade for one half of the hollow, and the other side of the same blade for the other side of the hollow. I tend to blade buff as well, and when done on one 'stroke', the lather should only be on half of the blade guard - not across the whole length.

This is quite probably the worst description of a technique on the internet :(

Hey there @tim33z, the only thing wrong with the above is the use of the words ‘quite’ and ‘probably’ in your last sentence....:p:p:p

I was just looking at Hallward's Dream on Try That Soap yesterday. What's it like?

It's a soft loading soap similar in character to Declaration Bison but without the Bison tallow, performance is good to strong with the lather produced being thick and dense as opposed to light an airy. I have both La Forêt de Liguest in this base and Hallward's Dream - from a 'soaper' perspective it is a very good base, it relies on excellent composition rather than a bunch of exotic ingredients, it performs excellently across all metrics. Check it out!

I really like the Hallward's dream fragrancing, it's a basic barbershop fragrance but it's all naturals and does not rely on the Barbershop FO that most use and that gives me serious skin redness e.g. Stirling Barbershop, PAA Malbolge, etc, etc rather it's an original EO composition which is refreshing and clean, it has a nice citrus top and slight powder drydown that is not too forward making it very wearable.

The Splash composition makes a welcome change, it is alcohol free and very gentle on the skin while still managing to deliver a degree of comprable performance to alcohol based formulas. I think the pricing on the splash is very reasonable given it's level of fragrance and performance across the day.
