got out the DE89 today.. really nice mild razor, got close but not as close as the timeless, still a very enjoyable shave.

The APR tub has at most one shave left in in :)

Pre-shave: Hot shower
Brush: Yaqi Mysterious Space
Soap: Australian Private Reserve Florian
Razor: Edwin Jagger DE89
Blade: Polsilver (2)
Post-shave: A&E Uno Splash

Pre-shave:- Cold Water straight from the tap
Brush:- Edwin Jagger Synth. v2.0 Silvertip Fibre Faux Horn 25/58mm knot
Soap/Cream:- Wholly Kaw ~ Man from Mayfair
Razor/Blade:- Gillette Red Tip (0.81mm) 1950's England / Vintage NOS Gillette Stainless #2
Post-shave:- T.N. Dickinson Witch Hazel Astringent mixed into the 240ml bottle with Natural Glycerin (20), Tea Tree Antiseptic (10), Lavender (15) & Peppermint (10 drops)
Fragrance:- Proraso Wood & Spice

I've noticed a huge difference between the English Gillette Red Tip vs the US Gillette Red Tip, because, the English Gillette Red Tip is smoother and more effective during the shaves and I'm very glad to have the English Gillette Red Tip in my den.

Agree, very good reminder how different the same razor model in the vintage Gillette's can be.

Early shave this morning with absolutely no lack of engagement. Cleared approx. 100 trees in the paddock to install a 28 panel solar array....to save the planet. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Apparently that's what it takes to make it rain. Was going to dig the electrical trench as well but the rain made us think better of it.

Post: Speick Aftershave, Proraso White Balm

Had a tuck of the Astra green blades so thought I'd give them a go. They're not bad but not great, not as sharp as Polsilvers or Nacets and don't last nearly as long either. Back to the Nacets tomorrow.
