Been away for awhile with a new job and life getting in the way but that doesn't mean I stopped shaving!

3 ATG passes for another BBS. When I got these blades from @TomG, I thought they were terrible in my usual razors (including my 6S, which is a first - R3 was too bitey and R2 too mild!) but I thought I would try them in all my razors before giving up on them. Last off the rank was this Merkur, which I always found too mild for any other blade so I had hardly ever used it.

Very glad I gave this combo a try because it was an excellent marriage. I haven't used anything else since and no regrets. Certainly adds weight to the idea that there is a blade for most razors and a razor for most blades.... for me at least. I probably won't re-stock them because only being able to use one razor is a bit restrictive but happy to chew through the rest of what I have...

Prep: Valobra Glycerlanolina soap, Myrsol Emulsion
Brush: Rudy Vey Shavemac Silvertip Badger
Soap: Squadron Group Captain's Blend
Razor: Wolfman WR1
Blade: NOS Wilkinson Sword 'French Brown' (2)
Post: Thursday Plantation Tea Tree & Witch Hazel, Musgo Real Aftershave Balm
Scent: Boellis Panama 1924 EdT.

A wet and stormy night in Perth as winter comes to an end. Thus, I reached for the warm and comforting Squadron Group Captain's Blend. The Rudy Vey Cobalt Shavemac brush (aka The Soap Destroyer) whipped up storm of lather, and a memorable shave ensued.

The Boellis Panama 1924 scent was a lovely way to finish off.

Soap: Pb Calendula MkIII
Brush: Zenith boar
Razor: TI Flower Pattern
Down for the count with migraine again today but thought I'd attempt a shave and some late lunch. The headache, slice to the nose (probably shouldn't attempt a straight razor shave whilst head wrecked) and a shedding brush couldn't detract from what @alfredus classes as a joyful shave. The Calendula lather is beautiful, like silky dollop cream and the TI is a beautiful instrument.
When Mum moved house I found an ancient ledger which I've been using as my straight razor log so I can track usage and honings. Looks a little like the Matrix data orientated like that?

What a wonderful shave! The Kapo lather was really good; better than I usually whip up from a cream, so I guess I got lucky.
Three passes for a BBS finish, and my face feels terrific.

Travel kit shave in a hotel in Gladstone.

Slightly cracked bowl, slightly leaky plug, 1970s decor in the bathroom - so glamorous!

Karve F plate w/Polsilver
Yaqi silvertip fan
SV Felce Aromatica
Vitamin E oil

Magnificent BBS with the F plate! The SV was awesome as usual. The Yaqi silvertip fan knot is probably my favorite brush from them!!

The F base plate is too edgy for me, feels much more than the R41
