No photo today due to glory of fatherhood. I was mid first pass when our 4 year old came in to the bathroom saying he had a sore tummy. Seconds later a large bout of diarrhoea for the poor little guy. Needless to say I did not get to finish the shave, so am now sporting a 24hr goatee, with a 5 o'clock shadow creeping down my throat.

It had the makings of a great shave. Will have to try again tomorrow.

Excellent shave, have a great Friday everyone!

Date:- 04 September 2020

Pre-shave:- Cold Water straight from the tap
Bowl/Scuttle:- Captain's Choice
Brush:- Yaqi Sagrada Familia Tuxedo Synth. 24/53mm knot
Soap/Cream:- Stirling Spice
Razor/Blade:- Merkur 34C / Voskhod #13 ...... finished
Post/After-shave:- T.N. Dickinson Witch Hazel Astringent mixed into the 240ml bottle with Natural Glycerin (20 drops) & Tea Tree Antiseptic (5) / The Stray Whisker Aftershave Balm (Australian made)

Voskhod has finally lost the edge and was starting to dull on the 3rd pass shave. Overall throughout the shaves, I'm pleased to say around 12 maximum per blade is pretty darn good with the 34C as YMMV.
My next test again with the Voskhod using the EJ 3one6 to see how far Voskhod can reach to the maximum.

Very enjoyable shave with a great straight razor, a firm but pillow soft boar and a soap I made quite some time back.

I almost need to re apply for membership to the wet shaving fraternity, :) retirement is great but it is surprising how many days can pass before the urge to shave kicks in.
I have been averaging 7 - 10 days between shaves and with a pepper and salt beard it is no longer a trendy look.

Single pass tonight and so close to a DFS/BBS

Steve
