.... Until 2021 when I hope to obtain a pretty Wolfman... :nailbiting:

I'll do you a trade now? What do you have that I might want?

Alternatively wait till the 2021 auction ...

Hahaha... If I ever look to pass the CG on I'll keep you in mind and in the interim I'll happily wait for my name to drop on the waiting list next March when I hope to pick up an WR2 1.25.:coffee:

As much as I like the Wolfman, I cannot justify the cost, ( charity auction except :)).
The plus side is that its in CAD so relatively competitive to the AUD and you have 6-12 months to save up the funds before your name gets drawn... Still expensive and no certainty that I'll even bother as I'm enjoying the recent additions...

I still cannot see the justification in the $$$. They are like be Rolex of the DE razor world:giggle: .There are so many great razors being produced for a lot less money, especially in the last 12-18 months with minimal to no wait time. I have some brushes to clear out for Spring cleaning and new ones to replace them.:)

I originally thought the same but changed my mind after trying both the WR1 & WR2... Yes my trusty 34C gives me great shaves but once you try a Wolfman you appreciate the quality and near perfection that goes into making it such a highly sought after shaving item... The competition is getting close but I'm yet to try something that shaves as smooth and close on all my trouble spots like the WR1 standard gap does. Not all of us have unlimited funds to experiment or let alone spent hundreds on the "one" special razor but the Wolfman is more than just mirror finish, James has managed to nail the geometry to create IMHO the sweet spot for shaving that provides smoothness, aggression and blade feel... Just my 2c and YMMV. In the interim I'll happily stay with the one razor that drew me to wet shaving - the Charcoal Goods in antique brass and know that if I don't get that elusive Wolfman then I have the next best thing and appreciate the artistry, craftsmanship and happy shaves it gives me! (y)

I think you’re wife isn’t going to appreciate seeing another razor into your den, otherwise, she’ll rip out your liver also both kidneys and her deadly weapon the kitchen rolling pin will completely ruined your whole head.

@Razor Burn just a small friendly question and let not go overboard about wax dots, okay.

Have the Gillette Silver Blue change from four pain in the butt down to two or four very small wax dots, because, I've still got the old four pain the butt. Could you please provide photo's if possible and post them into this topic (
Do you like wax dots on razorblades or not - tell us why) the reason I'm asking is I'm about to order 50 blades of GSB soon. Thank you.

Hi @SpeedyPC - I was unable to locate any date code on the packaging so unsure what vintage these blades are but they came courtesy of vshod.
The blade has 4 wax dots on the corners of #1 side and no wax on the other side:

Luckily I've already put my name on the waiting list knowing there's a near 7-12 month wait and told her that its expected next year so she doesn't care until its time to pay... Plus she's seen one herself and rolled her eyes but can appreciate its a quality piece... I'm not planning on any future spending and have the time to save my $$$ for one last buy! :X3:

You’ve got the old stock somewhere around 2013 showing the four real pain in the butt corner blade edge wax dots, I really hate them so badly :banghead:

Pre: Hot Shower
Razor: R41
Blade: Nacet
Brush: Matilda 2-Band Silvertip Badger
Soap: A&E Monte Carlo
Post: Dead Sea Splash

Pop quiz.. how do you make a R41 smoother than a WR2???

Answer: Load them with a nacet!! I loaded the same nacet I used in yday shave with the WR2 into the R41 and it was considerably smoother.

@SpeedyPC and @Holiday … warning, Enabler Alert!! Considering you enjoyed 'All things nice' so much you need to know this Dead Sea splash is do dam nice, today I ordered the matching soap. Honestly this scent is simply amazing and a must have in your dens

I'll take your advice @StratMan - Sounds like a perfect summer scent.
Keep making comments like this and I'll b buying another R41 as well :)

Your welcome.. it’s perfect summer splash 👍

The matching soap is supposed to be amazing, but it has lanolin an I can’t remember if your ok with lanolin? If not it U should also grab that.. it also includes aloe Vera and actual Dead Sea salt which is supposed to be high in minerals.

lathers up quick and easy and performance is supposed to be up there with my top soaps..

Also SMDF is the other matching same batch of the ‘glass series’ the scent reputation is highly regarded with matching soap with the same base as the Dead Sea soap

an dont knock the r41 man, I value mine as up there with the wolf, T95 an JAWS.. the fab 4.. Maybe u do need to revisit 😎
