Pre: Coconut Oil
Soap: The Sudsy Soapery - Lavender & Peppermint
Brush: Semogue 610
Razor: Game Changer 0.84P
Blade: Gillette 7 O'clock Yellows (1)
If yesterday was my Shave of the Week then today was a very close runner up. Superb.:)
I think I've just got the one tuck of the 7 O'clock Yellow's and I'll probably follow up and score a hundred if they perform like this consistently. What was the previous discussion on these? My 7 O'clock blades are St Petersburg origin. Are the blades available now still from there, and if not, are they as good?

No really. I’ve preferred about forty other razors this year. It just did not work for me like the descriptions I’m reading in SOTD. I contacted Razor Burn to get his opinion and from the description yesterday, the razor is on par with his other Roccas. Full review coming next week.

That's amazing, for me personally its the best razor I have ever used (even surpassing the WR2), and have both the 94 and 96 which perform equally as well. at least @Razor Burn has confirmed it isnt the razor itself.. just another YMMV thing I guess

Out of curiosity what blade did you use? I am really looking forward to your full review on the Rocca...

It's kind of gratifying to read all the comments echoing my sentiments about the 7 O'Clock Yellow. When I first tried them, it was such a revelation, I wondered if it was just me going mad, senile or both. It would appear that if I am, I'm in good company. :p

It has knocked the Nacet down from first place in my favorites to third. Second is still the Polsilver Supposedly Iridium.

Edit: forgot to tag @Pbgoose in here...
The blades in my last remaining tuck are from St Petersburg, and I hope the 200 I have in the mail are the same. I might have to be careful, though, I read somewhere that there's another kind of Gillette Yellow that hails from India, and I can't imagine that will go well. Maybe @SpeedyPC will know?

Cheers for suggesting them as I've had a tuck unused and would love to add a 100 or so but not sure where to get them from at a reasonable price?

I greatly appreciate the opportunity to use the R94 again and look forward to @Errol's review next week.

Overall I share the feeling of @StratMan, @rhodes96 and others and agree the V4 in each style shaves superior to all the DEs I have tried thus far but also understand where @Errol is coming from as some shaves have left my neck with redness but once paired with the Wizamet + so far Gillette Yellows the shaves are super smooth and evenly close.

I do have to commend him for his honest reviews & attention to detail, having convinced me to try the Apollo as its in my top 3 razors and I'd have probably missed out on that if it wasn't for him & @Nico.

I have shaved twice in 12hrs and both occasions went for and achieved BBS on both occasions without even a hint of any irritation.. for me these razors are the bees knees for sure

What had me sold was the fact after a BBS shave I don't need another shave well after 12hrs and the regrowth is nice an even.

Now that I have found a few blades that work I can easily achieve a near BBS shave following @rhodes96 example with little fear of any irritation or redness. If that doesn't work I have plenty of other razors that offer me satisfactory shaves but not at the consistency of the Rocca V4.

I don't have the luxury of trialing as many razors as @Errol has but greatly appreciate his Weekly Reviews as the overseas forums can be somewhat biased or glowing of the newest release, whereas Errol tells it as it is and explains his reasoning with honesty no matter the price tag or brand reputation.

Just discovered another stray tuck, this one came with my last Artisan Arcade order (thanks @Ozwhisker!), and this seems to be a newer version, and for those to whom this is important, there's a Procter & Gamble logo on the pack, and all the other writing is in Arabic. The markings on the blade itself are now laser etched, so presumably a legit St Pete's product made for the middle eastern market. And yes, wax dots. ;)

Had a great Rocca shave this morning (yes, I know I'm looking to sell it anyway).
Soap: The Gentleman's Quarter 'Bay Rum'.
Brush: Yaqi synthetic 26mm Rainbow Pony knot.
Razor: Muhle Rocca R95.
Blade: Gillette Platinum (2).
The usual smooth progression offered by the R95 and the Gillette Platinum.
What a great blade. If you haven't tried one you really should (and I too like the Gillette Yellow from St.P).
The Gentleman's Quarter soaps perform so well, and the Bay Rum is my favourite.
Nice shave, smell nice...I'm good to go!

Brush: PAA Atomic Rocket
Razor: iKon Tech + Bulldog II handle
Blade: Wizamet SI (2)
Soap: CELLA - thanks @tullfan
Pre: Shower
Post: Stirling Soap Co. Unscented Balm
WTG, ATG, Touchups = DFS

Two shaves in one day is a rarity for me and as my face was starting to show some noticeable regrowth after this mornings shave I decided what better time than now to bring out the BEAST for a quick test shave.
I proceeded to follow the friendly advice from my fellow P&C members and managed to complete the first mixed pass without any bloodletting but the blade did feel quite harsh. Memo to ones self - Wizamet SI does not work in this one... :banghead:
Managed to finish a second pass with minimal buffing on the chin and walked away to fight another day and who knows, maybe I'd achieve a BBS if I tried a sharper blade but luckily I have more sense and will happily retire this one for a future shave as the risk of cutting myself at anytime isn't worth it.
It was a smoother shave than previously achieved so chuffed I finished a full shave but not for my liking! :chicken:

IF you're planning to give up the iKon Tech, always let Horse (@Blackie) knows first as I'm sure he'll take the badass beast from you.

Prep: Valobra Glycerlanolina soap, Myrsol Emulsion
Brush: Semogue Owners Club Boar
Soap: La Toja
Razor: Wolfman WR1
Blade: Vintage NOS Gillette Planitum Royal (7)
Post: Thayers Cucumber Witch Hazel; Myrsol Plastic Shave Splash
Scent:Musgo Real Spiced Citrus EdC

An Iberian-inspired shave.
I've only tried La Toja soap a couple of times previously, having used it in stick form whilst traveling. My experiences were not that favourable.
However, after reading that it was a favourite of many, I grated a stick into a jar and gave it a second chance using a comination of bowl and face lathering. A huge difference. Very easy to lather, and voluminous quantities of thick polar-white lather. I did get a little skin irritation towards the end of the three pass shave, which may be due to La Toja's trademark "Con Sales Minerales". I'll give it another go soon to test this out.
