3 pass WTG, XTG, ATG = BBS. Another enjoyable shave. Friday the 13th shave, decided to test the blade with a BBS shave. 13 shaves on the blade, and no blood to be shed. Smooth shave, still efficient, not as sharp as new, still very usable.
The Soap Convergence. This soap is made by Declaration Grooming for Maggards. As such the container for the soap is clear in line with the soap containers Maggards sells. I actually prefer the clear containers.
Soap scent strength medium, splash scent strength light to medium. The scent notes, leather, amber, vanilla, cognac, oakmoss, rosewood, patchouli, frangipani. I instantly smell the leather, cognac, vanilla, with a bit of amber blighting up the scent, The base of the scent the oakmoss, rosewood, patchouli, frangipani, give the scent are darker sweeter note. All round the scent blends in well. Some may interpret the scent as a sweet wet earthiness.
On the dry down of the scent The cognac, vanilla, and Amber are present with light hits of frangipani, oakmoss, patchouli. The cognac and vanilla make a great combo really smooth out the dry down on the scent and are the standout scents of the soap.
This is a nice subdued masculine scent. I would reccomend a woody fragrance to accompany the soap scent.
