Brush: @Vlasta Alpha T-400 24mm Silvertip
Razor: Rocca V4 R94
Blade: Platinum (1)
Pre: Shower
Soap: MWF
Post: TSW After Balm

Such an enjoyable shave with this setup. First shave with the Platinum blade in the Rocca and very smooth & efficient. My third favourite blade I've tested so far but will it last past 5 shaves...?
Always a pleasure using MWF and the T-400 is a great brush but the knot requires some effort as its just not as dense as I'm used to. Very similar to a plissoft synthetic that feels nice and gets the job done with patience.
Stay Safe & Happy Shaves!

Stick it out with the Gillette Platinum in the Rocca. Interested in your results and if you decide to blade flip, does it have a noticeable difference from side to side for you ?
You will save me a lot of R&D time. :)

Thanks for the encouragement mate. I rarely use the one razor/blade combo and never flip blades as I just remove the blade to dry and put it back in any which way!?
I plan on using the Platinum and see if it stays sharp and efficient as experience teaches me that a blade might remain smooth but rarely do they shave close barring the Wizamet which keeps sharp well past 10 shaves.

Pre-shave: Hot Shower
Brush: Bazlur - Forgotton Art - Bushman 26mm tuxedo
Soap/Cream: Zingari Man - The Explorer
Razor: Muhle - Rocca R94
Blade: Gillette Stainless (28)
Post-shave: Zingari Man - The Explorer recovery splash / AS balm unscented

2 pass WTG XTG + touchups = DFS+. Shave 28 on the Gillette Stainless, if the this blade makes it to 33 shaves I think I will let it retire as it has performed above and beyond the call of shaving duty. Picked a random soap blindly from the drawer, and rewarded with a nice shave.

Stop it at 30 and it’s done finished, I wouldn’t push the Gillette Stainless beyond 30, IF, I were you.

Pre-shave: Shower
Brush: Yaqi 24mm Silvertip Badger
Soap/Cream: Razorock - Emperor
Razor: Karve CB (B-SB)
Blade: Gillette 7 O'clock Yellow SE (1)
Post-shave: Cold Water Splash, Alum, TSW After Balm

Pre: Face Wash
Razor: R41
Blade: Gillette 7’OClock Yellow

This blade pairs perfectly with the R41, possibly the best I have used for this razor, thanks again for the intro @Gargravarr
You're welcome. I moved on my R41 before I "discovered" the Yellow, but I'm not surprised it works well. That handle you're using looks a lot nicer than the one I had.

Soap: NO RAWR
...Mrs Pbgoose isn't a fan of the RAWR scent. I want to like it but it keeps singing ARKO to me. It produces an excellent lather though so I won't be moving it on.
I can't say I get the Arko resonance, but Mrs Gargravarr doesn't mind Rawr, but really hates Hamami, which to my nose shares quite a few of the scent notes. I'm a bit on the fence about Rawr, and I probably won't keep the extra tub that B&B sent me by mistake...

Pre: Hot water
Razor: Blackland Vector
Blade: Feather Professional Super
Brush: Forgotten Art "Southern Skies" 30mm Snow Leopard
Soap: Mystic Water Jeff's Lavender
Post: Shower, Stirling Bergamot Lavender EDT

Basically the same setup as yesterday's SOTD, but I dialled up the blade for today. Probably a mistake, given that I copped a bit of sunburn yesterday. Tasmania's like that. You can get sunburnt at midnight here. Same DSBBS (dolphin-smooth BBS) as yesterday, but at a price.

@SpeedyPC What is the maximum you have used a blade for a comfortable and efficient shave?

The operative term there, I think is the YMMV part. I have a conviction that the only way those life spans are achievable is if you have a very fine stubble. I have yet to find any modern blade that doesn't start to tug after two days. That doesn't mean the blade is unusable (I have used some very tired blades in my time) but there's no need to endure a less than perfect shave if you don't have to.

WTG, ATG, Touchups = BBS

Same setup as the last shave with the same BBS results. Lets see how far this blade can go...? :cigar:

I did think about the Hawk V3, and if @tullfan hadn't so fortuitously made his R95 available, I might have ordered it. If I didn't already have the Vector, I definitely would have, since the latter is more than twice as expensive as the Hawk. I'll reconsider in 2022...
Maybe consider the Colonial General as well as the SS Hawk? I'd probably push you towards the General but in the true spirit of enabling............

Its a cheap yaqi brass handle.. the extra weight feels excellent in the hand and pairs very well with the R41 head
