Prep: Valobra Glycerlanolina soap, Myrsol Emulsion
Brush: Rooney 1/3 Super Silvertip Badger
Soap: Calani Oriental Plum
Razor: Merkur Futur Gold (2)
Blade: Iridium Super BN-84 (1)
Post: Thayers Cucumber Witch Hazel; Bootleggers El Dorado Aftershave Splash
Scent: GFT Spanish Leather

Wonderful shave. The scent of the Calani soap is marvelous - probably my favourite tobacco scent.
The Rooney whipped up ample quantities of luxurious lather; and the Futur, loaded with a fresh BN-84, began its inexorable removal of my stubble.
Three passes and a few buffs for a DFS result. The El Dorado splash paired very nicely indeed with the GFT Spanish Leather.

Pre: Hot Shower
Razor: R41 + Yaqi brass handle
Blade: Polsilver
Brush: Yaqi Silvertip Badger
Soap: Tabac Original
Post: Proraso Red Splash

Been a while since the tabac came out and it certainly didn’t disappoint, the tub will be replaced before the soap finishes.

The R41 made a surprise appearance loaded with a fresh polsiver, it’s a great razor with amazing efficiency. As soon as the pass started you knew a light touch and concentration was required. If Muhle ever make a stainless version I will be getting it.

Razor: Merkur 34C
Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (4)
Pre: Shower
Soap: Cella
Bowl: Periera Shave Bowl
Post: Thayers Aloe & Lemon Witch Hazel // Phoenix & Beau Imperial Rum solid cologne

A super quick pre-work shave as the R41 did such a fantastic job yesterday that not much stubble was there. Continued with the Cella seeing as it works so well. Finished off with the neglected Thayers and solid cologne - loving the Bay Rum scent... Happy shaves!

Efficiency gap compared to Karve OC-D and Piccolo widens daily. Maybe she needs a Russian blade

The pork chop splash seemed a perfect pairing with the board brush ...

Blade: Polsilver
Brush: Yaqi Silvertip Badger
Soap: WK Rose Concerto

There wasn’t much there to shave after ydays r41 run, but went at it again regardless. The original plan was to do a quick two pass and see how well that did but after the 2 pass, I did another, then touch ups for that smooth feeling, should of prob stopped at 2 passes though lol

The BSB is favourite among badgers in the den, perfect balance of density, softness and size

Charcoal Goods, Level 3, Open Comb, Magnum Handle + Astra
Simpsons M6, Best
B&M Cologne Russe

All the other times that I have used this razor I have chased BBS with two or more passes and have nearly always ended up with a nick or two. Today, after yesterday's super close shave with the Feather artist club with a new Feather Pro, I thought I would just take it slow and go for one pass. My oh my, what a great result. I never thought this could be a dialy driver, but after this shave, I could be wrong.

Soap: Muhle Sea Buckthorn
Brush: Shavemac
Razor: Rocnel Elite
Blade: Treet Carbon shimmed (3)
AS: Pinaud Clubman
Another brilliant performance from the Treet Carbon in the Elite. Distinctive blade feel.
The Pinaud Clubman turned up yesterday. I purchased it as it's touted as being the classic example of the Barbershop scent. Very similar to PAA Club Guy and PAA CaD, though I probably prefer the Pinaud Clubman as there is something in the PAA aftershaves that disagrees with Mrs Pbgoose so I can't wear them at home.

Pre-shave: Hot shower
Brush: Vintage butterscotch Culmak
Soap/Cream: VITOS Menthol and Eucalyptus Shaving Cream with Tallow
Razor: Replated vintage NEW head on TSW Bren handle
Blade: Polsilver "Brown" (4)
Post-shave: TSW After Balm
Fragrance: Penhaligon's Halfeti

I found this container down the back of my wardrobe, seems it was a long lost sample from @TomG ! With apologies to him I tried it today.

According to VSHOD "The VITOS Menthol and Eucalyptus Shaving Cream with Tallow is very much like the original PRORASO formula ( pre 70's ) before PRORASO changed their formula" - is true that.

Interesting point on the Proraso link - good to know, and glad that you enjoyed the cream.
