A beautiful shave to end the week - the Rhodium knot brush feels just so luxurious on the face and whipped up a fantastic APR lather - happy days!

Got a nice lather out of the vintage Simpson but can tell there is a lack of spine and density compared to other badgers.
 
Pre: Warm Shower + Proraso Pre-Shave
Razor: Wolfman WR2 1.25
Blade: Polsilver
Brush: Yaqi Silvertip Badger
Soap: Proraso Azure Lime Cream
Post: Proraso Green Splash

Badger produced a very protective and slick lather and paired with a wolf/polsilver = very smooth/clean 3 pass shave.

main focus on today’s shave was on pressure on the wolf, and this resulted in an improved smoothness on an already smooth razor.. bliss!!

This W&B came in the mail today. Gave it a touch up on the stones and it's now removing hairs with ease whereas it was tugging beforehand. Nice little razor indeed, feels good in the hand

May need a second Bombora set. This is the bomb!

That's more like it (post yesterday's shave)........the 10084 is not as luxurious as the 10083 and not convinced it ever will be as the hair doesn't seem as nice but time will tell. Fresh edge on the Jowika last night. Very nice shave.(y)

Post/After-shave:- T.N. Dickinson Witch Hazel Astringent mixed into the 240ml bottle with Natural Glycerin (20 drops) & Tea Tree Antiseptic (10)

Really enjoying stropping and getting that edge thx @miner and pushing the str8 that little bit further every week
The shavemac has stopped shedding. Maybe the shampoo condition and hair net worked or just needed some use.
May not have been feeling the love in amongst all those butterscotch Simpsons of @Mark1966
Now I just need to master transferring from brush to face with a dense ball of badger hair.

Mate, I'm SOOO sorry to hear that you would NOT beleive. It is clearly NOT as advertised so send it back to me straight away for a full refund.

Of course, if it does shed again I'd be happy to send it back to you...

(Seriously, no shedding, that is a beautiful brush you got for a steal then!)
 
Hi @Mark1966 I was not having a go mate! All the 2nd hand badgers seem to shed for the first couple of uses.
Very happy with the purchase and I know I got a top shelf brush for a steal with both Americana and BSB. I was inferring that it probably did not get a lot of use in your rotation among all those butterscotch Simpsons you are so fond of. Not in SOTD since 2018 anyway before I joined P&C. I expect they are a bit like good shoes if they sit in a cupboard not being used they go brittle, glue cracks, sole falls off etc:
From what I read badgers are renowned for shedding a few hairs every now and then and from what I have seen may be more common among the softer silver tips.
They are all beautiful brushes and even though I prefer a good stiff boar would not part with one.

Did my first live stream preaching this morning, 20 minutes looking down the barrel of a camera is challenging I can tell you! Made sure I at least looked the part with a decent shave.

Really glad that the Americana is working for you @Holiday, I brought it here as a known shedder and it continued to do so through all my use. If it is behaving better up north that is fantastic, a beautiful brush!
