Feather Artist Club SS + Feather Pro
Floris, pure badger
Simpsons Vanilla and Rose cream

I think that the Pro blades may be too much for me. I went with 2 passes yesterday and my skin felt quite raw. This morning I only went with one pass. I also changed to a steeper angle and used less pressure. It took the stubble down well, but I was still left with my skin feeling quite 'mown'. The cream has a nice scent, but I also made the lather too thick. It was tricky rinsing the blade off. I am going to stick with the razor and blade for the rest of the week and see if it is technique or tool.

Brush: PAA Atomic Rocket
Razor: Timeless Bronze SB // Italian Barber Game Changer .84P
Blade: Gillette Rubie Platinum (5)
Pre: Shower
Soap: Mikes Natural Soap Bay Rum
Bowl: Periera Shave Bowl
Post: G&M Australian Creams Sorbolene lotion // Phoenix & Beau Imperial Rum solid cologne

The last two SOTD with the latest soap in my collection and for a harder soap Mike's performs well with supreme post shave feel and to a large extent Bay Rum lives up to this. I'm not a great fan of the scent as its quite mild from the puck and slightly improves during lathering compared to my tin of Lemongrass & Eucalyptus which is strong and nice. On the plus size having the puck in a larger spare tub allows for better lathering seeing as Mike's loves added water. The Timeless Bronze with the Rubie was a real delight with near BBS results and DFS with the GC this morning. Finished off with some lotion and solid cologne.... Happy shaves!

Pre: Proraso Green Pre-shave
Razor: 73 Gillette Black Beauty (6)
Blade: Feather
Brush: Yaqi Silvertip Badger
Soap: A&E Monte Carlo
Post: Proraso Green Splash

Decided on a mild shave with the black beauty on 6, teamed with a feather. A very smooth enjoyable shave that delivered excellent results.

First few shaves were below expectations and only intended to keep it as it's a birth year razor and in excellent condition. It took a few shaves to get used to the longer handle and now, wow, i love using it!!

RazoRock Plissoft
Merkur 34c
Polsilver Super Iridium
Zingari Man - The Nomad
Thayer’s Original Toner
YSL - La Nuit De L’Homme

Excellent shave. Did bowl lathering for a change, struggling a little bit to get enough lather, especially with these soft bases. Got a well hydrated but little bit thin lather, but a great result in the end. No need for alcohol splash or balm today, it feels great. Matched well with the fragrance as well.

Have a great day!

Glad to hear you're getting along with it. I think the Black Beauty is a great razor, and your's is a beautiful example. I don't normally use the Feather in my Gillette adjustables but locking that combo in for tomorrow.:)

Prep: Valobra Glycerlanolina soap, Myrsol Emulsion
Brush: Shavemac 3-band Silvertip Badger
Soap: Saponificio Varesino Manna Di Sicilia
Razor: Merkur Futur Gold (3)
Blade: Super Iridium BN-84 (2)
Post: Thayers Cucumber Witch Hazel; Myrsol F/Extra Aftershave Splash
Scent: DR Harris Arlington

Another heavy growth to mow down, and the Futur was just the beast for the job.
Three rapid passes on a relatively agressive setting (for me), anyway), and I was BBS.

Post: Proraso Red Splash

@Pbgoose has helped inspire a back to back black beauty special, kept all factors the same only spicing it up with some stirling soap and big move to proraso red splash.

Shave was pretty much the same as yday, 3 passes and an all round excellent shave. Another solid performance with the soap and I just absolutely love that proraso red splash, pity it isn’t long lasting. Not sure what I like in the scent but I love it…
