I had high hopes for the ETHOS soaps and both samples have convinced me to add some to my collection in 2022. The scent is nice and the lather was very slick with superior post shave feel. I'm leaning more toward Success and its pineapple notes but both are equally nice. Thanks again @rhodes96 for the opportunity to try this promising artisan. (y)
Another effortless BBS+ shave using the Rocca but I'm convinced the Minora is the smoother blade (just as Wizamets are compared to Polsilvers), even though they're the same Stainless Steel blade??? :unsure: 10 nx shaves each and no signs of any issues so happy to push them as the results are superb!!!
So far my top 5 blades for the Rocca V4 = Minora SS, Red & White SS, Wizamet SI, Yellows & Muhle....

Construction continues with bricks up to floor level. Needless to say I shan't be short of storage space under the house. We did have plans drawn to include rooms downstairs but the build price sorted that out. Gotta leave some budget for shaving gear right?

Soap/Cream: Razorock - The Dead Sea
Razor: Muhle - Rocca R94
Blade: Gillette - Minora Stainless (9)
Post-shave: Razorock - The Dead Sea AS / A&E - skin food noushing cream.

2 pass WTG daily shave = DFS+. Practically a BBS without going against the grain or requiring a touchup. The Minora SS blade is impressive.
Really enjoy using this soap and splash. Face feels revitalised.

Make sure you don’t get any blood clot issues after a few days from the COVID jab, if, you’re still not well by Tuesday morning go straight to hospital and if you started getting headaches by Monday lunch time go straight to hospital.

Better to feel crook on a weekday, though. I didn't have a choice, other than a long wait. :rolleyes: And of course you might not have any problem with it. One lady I know was wiped out for 3 days, so I got lucky by comparison. :whistle:

Except tomorrow is a Public Holiday here in CBR :)

That was part of the reason I got it done today. Daughter (only 23 but in a priority category because of work) was feeling bad for a couple of days, wife for about 36 hours, we shall see how I go!

Thanks mate! I'm really happy how it turned out as my original idea for a banana/bumble bee coloured handle wouldn't work as black over powers most colours (especially yellow). End result is a nice golden rustic colour with the first brass TF Customs medallion/coin that was ever set so its a highly valued part of my shaving den. Also surprised with how good the 2 band badger knot is at whipping up lather. :love:

I had bought this soap a few months back and the recent thread on the Long Rifle shaving soaps made me bring it out to use for the first time. I'm glad I did: it was a very enjoyable shave. This soap gets very high marks for slickness and post shave feel. My only (minor) criticism is that when lathered the scent is rather weak. In any case, I liked it enough to take advantage of the discounted price on offer now and order a couple of other scents.

Boy oh boy - what a shave!
The Castle Forbes 1445 cream is a top tier performer, and the scent! Simply beautiful fresh fougère with some elegant woods. The 30mm cloud-soft Rooney knot enjoyed its outing, as did I.
What better to cap things off than with a vintage oakmoss monster - Old Spice Herbal. Simply phenomenal. And a shout-out to the General aka @Mark1966 for his generous PIF.

Brush:- Semogue SOC 2 Band Finest Badger in Taj Resin 24/53mm knot
Soap/Cream:- Tabac
Razor/Blade:- Merkur 34G / Gillette Minora Stainless #2
Post/After-shave:- T.N. Dickinson Witch Hazel Astringent mixed into the 240ml bottle with Invite E High Potency Pure Oil (10 drops), Natural Plant Glycerin (20) & Tea Tree Oil Antiseptic (5)
Fragrance:- Tabac
 
I came, I saw, I shaved.

Not sure about you @Gargravarr but the middle of the night about 5 hours after my last paracetamol was unpleasant with the shivers and shakes but feeling better this morning, just like a touch of the flu with aches in joints and arm.

Clearly though cognitive functions are not fully returned as I forgot to take my phone into the bathroom for a SOTD pic ...

Was gifted to me and I wasn't getting enough use from it, I thought it would be right up your alley @TomG so enjoy!
