Pre-shave: Hot water, Pears soap
Brush: CaYuen "Copper Ore", 30mm AP Shave Co SynBad
Soap/Cream: Castle Forbes Lavender
Razor: RR SS Hawk V3
Blade: Feather Professional Super
Post-shave: Shower, Homebrew moisturiser, La Roche-Posay Anthelios SPF50+

Decided to try the new brush with a face lather now that it has been inadvertently "re-modeled". It's now everything I hoped for, like lathering with a cloud, no problem holding half a bucketful of lather. For the record, what I did was put the knot in a vice and used a pipe wrench on the handle (with padding on both) in an ultimately futile effort to remove the silicone-set knot. I imagine it'll probably fall out at some inconvenient point in the future when I'm not expecting it, but no matter, it works nicely now. (y)

The Lupo .95 continues to please, next blade to try is a Super Max Blue Diamond. The 'donut of death' appeared on the Squadron which gives me permission to buy more in the near future!

WTG, ATG, Touchups = BBS+

Too busy to upload pics but the last couple of shaves have been sensational. I finally finished the Bay Rum sample and it didn't disappoint one bit. First shave testing the TTO with this blade and great results but not as close on my chin so I'll look to try it on setting #5 in a future shave. BBS none the less. :)

Superior results were achieved using the Rocca with the blade remaining smooth and sharp. I plan to give the remaining Red Dwarf sample a rest and get back to testing the samples recently received from @rhodes96... :nailbiting:

Stay Safe & Happy Shaves!

Blood Moon shave 26.05.21 Pre-shave: Hot Shower
Brush: Wolf Whiskers - a custom 30mm Blackwolf
Soap/Cream: Phoenix & Beau - Baskerville
Razor: Wolfman - WR2 / WHR7 (1.45)
Blade: Gillette - Stainless (red & white) (3)
Post-shave: Oaken Lab - Earth of Mankind AS splash / B&M - Roam AS balm

2 pass WTG daily shave = BBS. This shave is dedicated to the blood moon on the 26.05.21. What a howling good shave it was. So far this is the best shave I have ever had in 2 passes without going ATG or doing touchups.:)(y).

Holy moly werewolves fangs, the wolfman 1.45 is brilliantly efficient and smooth. Without doubt that is the best razor I have ever used. The first time I used it I was cautious and careful and rewarded with a great shave. This time I let loose and boy oh boy can this thing shave.:)

I planned this shave so the soap, splash, and balm would work together each adding their own elements. I think I absolutely nailed it. :) The Soap, Baskerville is very strong and dark, and heavy on the birch tar and cedarwood, also being sophisticated, with the earthiness of vetiver, with dark spicey notes of labdanum and frankincense, and a little tonka bean to soften up the harshness of the cedarwood and birchtar. Absolutely brilliant soap from Phoneix and Beau. Carmine from TOTC was generous enough to release this one to me one from his personal stash.(thanks)

Next the balm, Oaken Lab - Earth of Mankind. Adding notes of clove, cassia, tobacco, vanilla, agarwood, patchouli, vetiver and sandalwood. These notes continue on with the wood, spice and earthy notes while introducing a little tobacco adding new scent element which works perfectly with the other dark scent notes.

Finally the balm. B&M have some really unique dark fragranced soaps splashes and balms. The one that worked the best which I had on deck was Roam. Tobacco absolute, smoke, leather, musk, thyme, damp earth, and grass. This is a very dark fragrance that really shines through on its tobacco, smoke, damp earth, musk notes. Again overlapping scent notes combine to accentuate the already present scents from the soap and splash. Because there is no clash of scent notes and the combining and overlapping of exisiting and similar scent notes makes this the ultimate dark, earthy, smokey, spicey combination of soap, splash, balm set that I have ever used. On the scent strength side this one is very strong. Forget adding a EDT or cologne it would be way overkill. These combined elements alone on the drydown had staying power for over 12 hours. It was only until this evenings shower until the scents was washed away.

If your not into dark scent notes and do not appreciate smokey elements or are female, stay away from what I used in this sotd, this one is strictly for the men.

Shameless re-post of yesterday's pic. Same setup today, except I really must keep better track of my blades. This Super was not at its best, time for a change. The soap will have to change.

I like the considered assembly of a shave as a work of art - beats my slapping on whatever floats my boat at that moment :D

Pre-shave: Warm Shower.
Brush: Wahl Traditional Barbers Nylon
Soap: Wilkinson Sword
Razor: Rockwell 6C (3)
Blade: Astra Green (1)
Post-shave: Old Spice Aftershave

Was excited to shave today because I haven't been able to shave recently due to some ingrown hairs!

Simple shave, went light on the neck. Wilkinson Sword worked really well, I went for a bowl lather just to make sure I hydrated it enough and got a smooth irritation free shave :)

First time trying the Astra Greens...they felt good, honestly couldn't really tell the difference between them and the King C Gillette, will need more practice to tell the difference in feel.

Stay safe during the new lockdown peeps!
